That sub is so weird. I posted a cool detail about the film Shin Ultraman and they deleted it saying details had to be about movies that were released. It had been released; I watched it. Then they told me they had to have been released in the US. The movie came out in the US like a week later and someone copied my post word for word and it got a ton of upvotes. Lol

If that one fish had never crawled out of the sea and led to what became the human race, Andy's mom would have never been born and none of this would have happened!

I'll add something I haven't seen many people in the comments mentioning. I watch a lot of older films (20's-50's) and there are a shocking amount of them that have hardly been released. Sometimes they were put out on some obscure VHS label back in the day. Occasionally they'll get a low-print run on Blu-Ray by a boutique company (Louise Brooks' Beggars of Life is like $100 if you look on eBay). Sometimes I find a cool looking 30's movie I want to watch and I have to look around on obscure forgotten blogs for uploads and stuff.
Not a lot of people watch these movies anymore (which is sad) so there's not a ton of incentive to license them, make torrents of them, or print them on HD discs.

It's a little of both. Basically he was a commercial actor (hawking candy bars and potato chips and stuff) but a combination of his looks and his ability to bullshit his way through the audition got him the role of Bond. He was very cocky and a major pain in the ass; the filmmakers and his costars didn't get along with him. You can see a good representation of his difficulty in his barrel sequence: he takes a knee to shoot at the camera, something the director repeatedly told him not to do. After numerous takes they just decided to leave it in.
After the film he started growing his hair and beard (the 70's were here) and acting like an ass in public (Bond actors are usually expected to maintain an appearance and decorum off-set). Despite this he was offered £1 million to do the next picture but his manager at the time convinced him that the Bond franchise had run its course and didn't work in the 70's (not an unpopular thought at the time). He figured he had a better shot getting other roles. He wasn't quite right. EON scrambled to get someone in (even asking future Bond actor Timothy Dalton) but just convinced Connery to come back.
There's a pretty amusing documentary called Becoming Bond where he tells his story and it even has reenactments.

It's really gross and looks like it hasn't been touched since the 90's

Brother I've seen Facebook reels with some of the most obviously fake AI-generated women you could ever see. Unreal alien shit. And John Bobson from Saugutuck Michigan will be in the comments asking her to DM him and telling her how beautiful she is. And it's literally just a server rack in like Bosnia or some shit.

It's a pretty glitzy Andrew Lloyd Weber musical from the 80's which, if you were to comedically break it down, is essentially people skating around the stage singing about the Starlight Express repeatedly (obviously there's much more to it but this is the explanation for the sake of the joke). It's just the basic Family Guy gag of cutting away to a simplified reference of some mildly niche thing from the 80's a certain segment of the population will chuckle at having been been reminded of.

This reminds me of my history teacher-- well-off guy, old school. Coached basketball as well. He was getting close to retirement and said instead of retiring he wanted to quit being a teacher and do his dream job of working at McDonald's. Said it was a classic American establishment and he wanted to work there ever since he was a kid. We were baffled. Sure enough, I graduate and years later he's handing me my bag at the drive through. Wild stuff! He's in prison now for sexual abuse against minors.

I'm gonna go ahead and say yeah, and even though Tron media has never done amazingly well it's done a great job of at least being a part of the cultural conscience for a long time. In the 90s people would occasionally talk about it, you'd see references to it in movies and TV shows. Tron 2.0 came out and was a darling on internet forums in the early-mid 2000's, you get Tron worlds in Kingdom Hearts games, finally the sequel Legacy that people still talk about. Even if the most people usually have to say is "cool 2hr long music video" everybody still knows what Tron is and its influence is everywhere. That doesn't translate to ticket sales of course, but people know about it.
Personally I think Ares would have flopped no matter who was cast in it (I think we're past the need for a Tron film in today's world) but I wouldn't have called it dead. Police Academy is dead. Charlie Chan is dead. Flash Gordon is on life support. Fu Manchu, Lone Ranger, Princess of Mars.
I do have a feeling this might be the end for Tron, though.

This is laughably bad PR even if it didn't leak-- an article with a headline reading "Despite Low Box Office, Audience Has Spoken!" would be be so absurd and hilarious. Reminds me of Gotti.

The arcade cabinet for Annihilation instead has the game Pong installed. This is a ridiculous oversight by management.

Also, the minotaur's ass was much larger than what is depicted here.

These are literally the exact words a dude used to try and groom me when I was a young boy (~13 or so I think). I haven't even thought about that in years.

I work with a married lesbian hippie who became right-wing during COVID. Like, she has healing crystals on her desk and shit. But now she thinks trans people shouldn't exist.
EDIT: The trans thing is just one example of her 180 degree turn back in 2020

When I was in high school, I was Teacher's Pet to the art teacher, Mrs. Brown. Unfortunately, I was also a massive slacker. I was passionate about art, but I had zero motivation and stupidly thought school was pointless and a waste of time. I'd half-ass assignments and fake my way through big projects.
Mrs. Brown would always try her best with me; she'd tell me I have a ton of potential that just needed to be tapped into. She'd enter me in competitions, sign me up to design all sorts of things; I'd begrudgingly do it. One project in particular was tackling the total art direction of our terrible school musical rendition of Animal Farm. So basically I was tasked with designing the poster and various visual elements and then getting together a small team to make it happen. I probably grumbled but I tackled the project with a bit of pride and I designed the poster / shirt, got the sets and everything made, and we put the show on. Fast forward years later, I ended up graduating and then later becoming a professional artist.
One day, probably 10 or so years after Animal Farm, I had the idea to re-design the old poster, with my new professional skills and tools, and email Mrs. Brown with the result. I put every ounce of effort into it I would any other professional job I'm given. I recreated the poster as I would have done as a professional designer, who had learned about hard work and artistic merit from the teacher who believed in me. I was so proud as I attached the poster, wrote a long email thanking her for teaching me, telling her about how well I was doing as an artist, and hit Send.
She emailed back later that day. In the body of the email was one word: "Neat!"

Answer: I Googled the title of what you posted (Guy Puts On Headphones And Starts Crying Meme) and the top result led me to the original video: https://www.tiktok.com/@gregohuh/video/7122625320611499307?lang=en
It's just someone making content, as per usual on TikTok. I wouldn't think to deeply about it.
The answer to every question in your last paragraph is: yeah pretty much.
