I just meant that the idea of a fishing bat exists. I'm not enough of a fisherman to tell you how it's used, but its existence is news to me.

I like to imagine his dad told him the fish are just going to sleep, so he doesn't think his dad is just beating fish to death with a bat. You learn something new every day.

I just googled "fish bats" and saw a dozen different fish bats for sale that lined up with what the commenter said. I didn't look too much, just saw enough to know the guy wasn't completely bullshitting.

I looked into it and know you're right, it's just hilarious to imagine a fisherman beating CTE into a fish until it stops flopping around.

It still shows I already requested an invite from last time, I assume this is nothing.

My button on the left side is considerably mushy and uneven to press. The other buttons are mushy/uneven to varying degrees, but not as noticeable. None of them have that satisfying click like when I first got the watch.

This seems to happen like every other update for me. I randomly have periods with no notifications.

I'm guessing this will be largely the same as the Japanese version. I imported a copy of it and quite like it.

Just the default app I believe. There probably aren't too many with OP phones still, so not a big issue.

I just wish it worked with OnePlus phones. The lack of a native function is probably my biggest complaint with the Pebble.

That's how I feel too. Not sure they could recreate the Oldest House, and I can't really think of a way for them to replicate that feeling. The Underpass was great, I do wish they used more zones that weren't just the city streets with different textures or lighting.

I liked it a lot more than the first Control. Control's combat felt pretty clunky to me, especially the levitating. Everything but Launch felt clunky honestly, which was maybe made worse by Launch being the best ability. While Resonant's combat has room for improvement, it felt a lot more natural and fun to play. I hope they stick with this formula for future games, but I would also be happy if you could play as both Jesse and Dylan with different playstyles. The bosses in Resonant were strong and had some great designs.
I also quite enjoyed the platforming parts, especially in the faults. I don't usually enjoy platforming elements if the game isn't a platformer, but they fit into the game pretty well.
The soundtrack and sound design generally were fantastic. The game used its music well and I love every time the Board decides to speak. The sound really helps build the eery atmosphere and goes a long way in recreating the feeling of the first game.
I found the general story and characters of Resonant to be stronger too. The characters in Control seemed uncanny to me, almost as if the game was a dream sequence. That helped the uneasy feeling of the first game, but I also didn't really feel a connection to many characters aside from Jesse. Pope and Arish were more compelling in Resonant to me. The addition of Zoe and some other characters were also welcome. Typically the "person in the chair" a la Zoe would tend to annoy me by the end of a game, but Dylan and Zoe's conversations were one of the highlights for me. Basically, I really enjoyed the cast of characters and seeing how the events of the first game have affected them over time.
I can understand why people miss the Oldest House. It's probably the highlight of the first game and a fantastic setting. I don't think reusing the Oldest House for this game would've worked though, given how tonally different it is and how the combat/traversal needs more open spaces. I wish we could explore more of the Oldest House in Resonant (I suspect that'll be DLC), but I enjoyed Manhattan overall. By the end of the game the zones do feel pretty similar; it's sort of like you're exploring the same area just with different textures and enemies. The Underpass is the exception and my favorite zone of the game.
Now for my few criticisms (minor spoilers ahead). I didn't really enjoy the final fight. The game had some great bosses, I'm not sure why the final boss was just waves of enemies. I wish the game wasn't afraid to change the status quo by the end. You defeat the bad guys but nothing has actually changed. I'm not sure why they couldn't have you just respawn at the final mission after beating the game so the player could just continue doing side quests or other things in the overworld. Like Control, we'll have to wait until the next game to actually see the consequences of what transpired this game. In that vein, Resonant introduces too many unanswered questions that make the plot feel unresolved. Remedy has emphasized there should still be a mystery and not every detail needs to be fed to the player. But the end of the game had a "the princess is in another castle" feeling. This isn't a purely negative thing, I enjoy the mystery, though it sort of took the air out of the ending when it introduced very interesting questions that aren't answered.
Overall, it's a strong 8/10. I found it to be a notable improvement over the first game in most areas and it's one of my favorite games in recent memory. I just hope I'm not waiting 7 years for the next one.

That's what I'm thinking too. I could see this leading into a new Ultimate X-Men whenever the Ultimate universe returns.

When I was young, I traded a DS for an N64 with someone at school. I was having trouble putting carts into the N64, so I opened it up to clean the console out. It was stuffed full of saltine crackers. Like someone had just dumped crackers onto the opened console and then just put the top back on. I'm still perplexed about how that happens.
The N64 still works though, almost 20 years later!

Did anyone hear back today about these?

Unironically, I could see them doing a Daredevil movie (or having him significantly involved in another movie, probably Spider-Man). I don't think they'd make a big deal out of the Defenders returning if that was the last time we'd see them all.
Daredevil as a character is still quite popular, and I think there's a few reasons why DDBA wasn't as successful as Disney hoped. People are expected to watch the original show, which is fairly long, and then DDBA S1 felt very disjointed and tonally all over the place. I really enjoyed S2, but I can see why S1 would turn people off. All that's to say I think/hope they have other plans for DD.

I could see him releasing the last NieR and calling it wraps. They've been teasing a project for a while now, and Square absolutely wants him to make another NieR given how Automata is a huge success. He probably has a blank check to make whatever he wants.

Interesting, the one time I got picked I didn't get a text. But I got an email around 9:30am CST the following day and it was in my Walmart account.

Did you check your Walmart account? It should show it in your orders.

My understanding is that they're different pieces of Nomura art collaged. I love me some Nomura art, but this cover looks off still.

Has anyone gotten a notification or anything? Last time I got something I got the email around 9:30am CST

Thanks, I remembered the Former but not its name.

For charlie horses, I have to immediately stretch my leg out but also make sure my toes are pointed down as much as possible. The more it hurts, the better in my experience. After 5-10 seconds the pain will go away and so will the charlie horse.
Yeah, this person can be held accountable. If a Waymo does this, they add 50 more to the streets.
