Why do you think we should allow someone in the subreddit who openly agrees not to follow the rules - genuine question?

In 2015, Russian geocryologist Anatoli Brouchkov injected himself with Bacillus F, a 3.5-million-year-old bacterium discovered in Siberian permafrost. Brouchkov, head of the Geocryology Department at Moscow State University, aimed to explore potential anti-aging properties of this ancient microorganism.

Bacillus F was unearthed in 2009 from permafrost in the Sakha Republic's Mammoth Mountain region. Laboratory experiments indicated that exposure to the bacterium increased longevity and fertility in mice and fruit flies. Inspired by these findings, Brouchkov decided to test the bacterium's effects on himself, reporting increased energy levels and an absence of flu symptoms for two years following the injection.

Despite these anecdotal reports, the scientific community remains skeptical due to the lack of rigorous clinical trials and peer-reviewed studies validating Brouchkov's claims. As of now, there is no conclusive evidence supporting the efficacy or safety of Bacillus F in enhancing human health or longevity.

As of January 2025, Anatoli Brouchkov continues his research at Moscow State University, maintaining his academic and research activities.
