It’s pre painted and still in the runner so your going to scratch off so much paint just cutting thought those big arse runner connections and dealing with mould lines I was excited when announced but after assembling the unpainted version this is just going to be a mess of a gimmick that probably won’t make 12th edition

I have a feeling we might see some Momo flashbacks in the next big fight and a reveal of how she got her powers. Here me out the fact her powers got stolen proves it was possibly caused due to another spirit as stealing her spirit energy vs power should have just killed her like it did with Aria when hers was consumed. So I have an hypothesis she has two different spirits her mum and dad her dad gives her the spirit hands while her mum gives her the ability to see others memories so while her dads side of the ability has been stolen Momo still has some abilities to see others memories. Which will become relevant in the upcoming Aria vs Onirun fight and will be the cause of it ending with Momo seeing the memories of her from Arias point of view first and using that to stop Onirun

This happens a lot the camera takes small defects you wouldn’t have seen naturally and makes them centre stage.

So things to remember this is a table top game will you really be able to notice these issues if it’s in the middle of a board doing its job as a grot. And secondly this is just a grot I know it’s frustrating making mistakes and wanting to get the mini perfect but this model is just a grot 1 of the 1000 ork models making up your green tide nobody’s going to blame you and call you a shit painter over these models as the ones they will focus on are the bigger cooler stuff like a gaz, waz or naz who are a lot more detailed and worthy of going the extra mile on while painting.

Your mini looks great good shading and constant highlights the only real messy part I can see is the teeth and a few greenish blotches parts that might be down to a wash that is easy enough to fix though re-highlighting.

Best thing to remember is you can’t harm a mini with paint and you can’t grow with out mistakes

So there’s three routes ignore, fix and play into. If it’s just a model and it’s not noticeable on a table top ignore it. If it’s a model like nazderg for instance try and fix it. Sprue glue gaps sand smooth. Or you can take these imperfections and make them a feature get yourself a decent parts bin and use these parts to add a story and hide mistakes at the same time. My first kit was ork kommandos and I managed to not glue one of the arms to the torso and left such a gap pushing it back in wouldn’t work so I added a choppa and some blood to the blood gods and problem solved.

This some how I did the same but not only on this banner but on kazuradrop and melt I’ve just had this nah I’ll win vibe on them and well in 40 normal pulls and 10 ticket pulls I have 1 of both kazuradrop and bb and two melts

You can’t hurt a mini with paint so test to your hearts contempt you can always strip the mini and start again if it doesn’t plan out.

I’m aiming for a glow effect for my weird boyz and i think plague toad venom 5 might be a good highlight colour for that instance

All experience and tricks my main trick was to only paint helmets then I started an ork army. One thing I found helped was get the base skin tone then do the eyes so when you go in for highlights you cover up the potential mistakes just steady hand and take your time

Cool cool just hope they release soon dying to try them out I just know my local is terrible for people not washing their brush

Dumb question but do you get to keep the sample kit

I’ve got to admit I’m dealing with painters choice paralysis at the moment so what I would recommend is get a boyz kit or go with one of our many kill teams use them to settle on a scheme then go form their final into the one of the many starter boxes now is probably one of the best times for ork available in discount boxes

Gw are terrible for instructions I got some sisters of silence and for one of the sisters left arms the digital illustration and part number is wrong and it basically tells you to use an out stretched left arm for a gun grip instead of a bent arm for two handed sword grip. Luckily I dry fitted and realised the arms don’t come close to lining up before cutting off every single left arm until I found one that did.

The ai is so broken I can’t tell if that’s a hand or a cross guard
