I mean, the gift part is up for debate, but it sure as hell offers more possibility of experiencing something great further down the line rather than being dead and not having any experiences at all :P

We'll all be dead in a couple decades so why rush it? None of this will matter afterwards anyway so you might as well go out and live instead of let yourself get dragged down by the bullshit.

People say "worst she can do is say no" but - and that's speaking from personal experience - wondering for a very long time if she might eventually have said "yes" but you were to afraid to ask easily tops that.

I dunno, it just feels like 99.9% of the women I've met in my life, I just don't feel like we'd be anything beyond friends or acquaintances.

I mean, at least that's a starting point. It's not like a good relationship begins with the words "Will you marry me". It's usually more along the lines "Who's that weird guy/gal and why are they trying to talk to me?", at least in my friend group.

A buddy of mine once asked a girl for her number and was too afraid to call her so her buddy had to step in and basically force him to call her :D They've been married for almost a decade by now so there's that :P

The thing is, I feel like I never find anyone interesting or appealing to me, personally, to want to pursue romantically. Honestly, I can count the number of women I've been interested in on one hand, and none of them have reciprocated that interest.

Kinda led to me holding off on dating because there's always the "but what if...?!" and it feels a little disingenuous to go out and try to hook up with someone while at the same time thinking about somebody else.
