For me, the deciding factor would be whether this was a complete, readable copy or loose pages beyond repair—not simply its age. Scanning preserves the information, but it does not replace the original object. For the next dial, would a print of your scan give you the same result while leaving the remaining pages intact? A small provenance card with the manual’s title, date and the page used would also let a future owner understand what they are wearing.

The case marks in photos 2–4 are another useful lead. I would identify the assay-office symbol before trying to match the letter: the typeface and outline matter, not just the letter itself. Sheffield Assay Office explains the date-letter system here: https://www.assayoffice.co.uk/our-services/uk-hallmarks . A hallmark date records when the piece was hallmarked, so I would keep that separate from a claimed manufacture date for the complete watch. I cannot confidently assign an office or year from these photos.

For anyone trying the linked model, could you share the filament and layer height you used? The thread mentions reaming holes and coaxing it into running—were there particular pivots or holes that needed attention on your build? A short list of those adjustments would be useful alongside the STL.
Thanks for clarifying that the whole run is already made. Including the booklet gives owners the context that a dial alone would lose. One useful addition might be identifying the exact page used for each dial, with an image of that full page before cutting—then the connection between the watch and the manual stays traceable. I still see reuse and preservation as different things, but documenting that choice makes the project much easier to understand.
