Way better than living in the parts that are Pittsburgh and Philadelphia!

Wasn't he the joke?

What on earth makes you think a 92 Volvo wagon is worth more than they offered you?

CockroachVarious2761

Yep - I even remember the phone number for our summer cabin (party-line number - listening in on neighbor conversations was so easy back then - LOL)

CockroachVarious2761

Yep - Manheim Township in Lancaster County PA has two of them I believe. Oddly, Lancaster City, where they could be more useful because of their ability to maneuver in tighter areas does NOT have any.

This whole Iran thing has been the first real disappointment. He's given them too much time, too many chances and I'm afraid they're going to return stronger than ever.

My BIL bought one about that year for his one-man appliance business. He handed it and the business over them my nephew a few years ago - the truck (2WD, single cab, short bed) is getting really close to 500,000 miles. Its always had normal maintenance done on time and the only mechanical repairs its needed is a transmission replacement around 350K and it kinda "eats" coil packs to the point they just keep a set of them on hand for one one goes bad.

Grew up a Ford fan and still like their trucks but largely stayed away from them most of my adult life until my wife (who knows and cares almost nothing about cars) saw the first Bronco Sports a few years ago in a specific color and decided that was the only thing she wanted. I tried to convince her into ANYTHING else, price wasn't a problem so I was showing her Acura's, Lexus', etc and nothing else mattered to her (I think its the color though she won't admit it). We ended up ordring one in July of 2022 and took delivery of it in Jan 2023. So far its been a decent car though very little IMO. I was adamant to not get the small 3-cyl engine; which meant she had to buy the "Badlands" model that's more "off-roady" though it'll never see anything off-road.

Not really an accessory, but I recently bought some Whirl Butter Flavoried Oil

I still use olive oil to coat the griddle when I'm done cooking, but this stuff is working very good to cook with.

I agree about 99.9%

I hate M$ products as they've become bloated, buggy and their attempt to match Google Docs collaboration features with O365 are just poorly done overall.

Still there are times, Office and particulary Excel in my experience are able to do things that Google doesn't support.

the problem is, a lot of bikers dont follow the same rules - they ignore them to a larger degree than drivers do (which is saying something). Stop signs - nah, they don't apply. Waiting their turn - nah. Using proper signals - why?

A couple years ago near me, a cyclist who felt wronged by a driver, opened the passenger side door of the car, and ended up being shot. Guess what, the shooting was justified, and the cyclist was charged. Best part was, this moron was an M.D. at the local hospital.

30+ yrs ago I said we should've taken every penny we spend towards our military spending in the middle east and invested in science to irradiate oil because there will never actually be peace in that region.

yea - I live in suburbs with mostly rural surroundings as my normal goto places; its pretty normal to be 5-10mph over the limit. For me the exception is housing developments, most are unposted which means 25 in my state, I pretty much stick to 25 in those areas.

CockroachVarious2761

That's not how it works in PA. Yes, you have to register first - but once registered you just show up to your assigned polling place. You only have to request a ballot if you are going to do a mail-in vote. There may be some edge cases if you request a mail in ballot and then show up at a polling location; but normally the only time you need to show an ID is if its the first time voting at the that location. I live in a small town (about 5000-6000 people) and I don't know any of the poll workers, so there's no way they know me or could vouch that I am who I say I am after that first time showing ID. The only thing they do is have me sign my name next to a signature they have on file; but those signatures are upside down from their vantage point while checking me in. I'm not suggesting ID fraud is common or out of control but it would be SO EASY to vote as someone else here in PA.

In PA we only have to show our ID the first time we vote at the assigned location. It would be SUPER easy for anyone to go in and vote using my name. Even in a small town of about 5000 people, the workers at the polls who check you in have no idea who I am, they take about 3 seconds to compare my signature to the one on record - while they are both upside down from their view.

I'm not going to sit here and say voter ID fraud is out of control, but given how easy it would be to vote using someone elses name, at least here in PA, I have to think it happens though it may be at a level that has little or no consequence and likely happens in fairly equal numbers for both parties.

Says who? For the sake of the sale, the feds might be storing vehicles there - sheesh! Do some reading before you post your B.S.; people on here are rather uneducated and take reddit as a source of truth - you're spreading misinformation!!

Between my wife and I we have about 530K in IRAs (rollovers from previous employer 401s)
And about 225K in current 401k/403b

Thank god for Trump though - everything was almost flatlined during Biden, but up 25% in 2025. Already up 4% in 2026.
