this is heavily me and possibly being autistic doesn't help. but what finally did help was holding this affection and romance for fantasy and fictional men I admire while treating the men in my actual life as people deserving to be known and valued as I hope to be. I'm also finding that in-person chemistry matters far more than a list of traits and things in common like on dating apps. I also found this out with how crazy my range is in fictional men lmao. I learned to recognize the traits they have in common and what i personally need in a partner. still single but I'm at a much better place now than I ever have been before

you know, I can understand that. but I feel a harsh judgment can be necessary when there seems to be little signs of remorse.
