I check out the sub occasionally just to get an idea of what the other side is reporting or talking about. They sometimes have non-flaired posts where you could comment but it’ll be removed once a moderator sees it unless you’re posting exactly what they would want to see.

Their big news threads are always flair only. The only time I’ve not seen it that way was one of the recent Epstein posts where a lot of people commented that both sides should fall if they were involved. The thread quickly became a graveyard of deleted comments.
