We don’t know the exact date when Jesus was born only a rough estimate of the year he was born. The Gospel of Luke states that Jesus was born during the end of King Herod’s reign. So that puts it around 6-4 BC.
Christmas was set during the time of a major Roman holiday. It was believed that the church chose December 25th in order to appropriate the festival of Sol Invictus which is also the winter solstice on the Roman calendar.

Ace Combat 3 introduced Strangereal but both Air Combat (Ace Combat 1) and Ace Combat 2 were retconned to be Strangereal after 3. You actually fight for the FCU in Air Combat (although this was an addition later, I believe originally your contractor in Air Combat is unnamed). But I think it wasn’t until Ace Combat 4 that they really introduced Strangereal.
Colonel_Kernel1
Yes and no, it’s set in the Strangereal timeline which has analogies for real world nations and it also has real world aircraft. Socially both Strangereal Earth and our Earth are pretty much the same. But politically and geographically is where the two earths differ. Strangereal is also more technologically advanced with them possessing railguns, laser weapons for combat, cloaking technology, space elevators, and 6th generation aircraft.
Strangereal was created so that Project Aces could have more creative freedom and not have to worry about real world politics in Ace Combat.

Custodes are made using custom tailored genetic enhancements instead of just being given geneseed. Since the space marines are based off of the genes from the Primarchs they can only be male. But since every Custodes is given custom made genetic enhancements that are tailored exclusively to them, it doesn’t matter what gender they are since they aren’t getting genes from a male Primarch.

Important to note but the Reol are extremely peaceful but the Goa’uld have almost entirely wiped them out in their desire to achieve the Reol’s camouflage chemical for themselves. The Reol basically only use this power to disguise themselves from predators.

I remember reading somewhere that they die in the novelization of Dark of the Moon around when Ironhide is killed

There’s a tech (or policy, I never really used it) that allows you to create hybrids with other species but it gets out of hand so fast when other empires research it because they keep creating hybrids of hybrids and since the planets track the what kind of species are living on those colonies, it creates a lot of lag when the hybrids themselves are useless because they are usually just the same as the base species they came from but with a few different traits.
Colonel_Kernel1
What about how also in Stellaris you can glass planets and make species go extinct to get rid of some lag?

The best part is when Sisko replies “I’m not Picard.” to Q.

When I was 5 or 6 my dad got me a bionical for Christmas and the one he got had a long head like a xenomorph. I asked him what a xenomorph was then he showed me the chestburster scene from Space Balls first then the chestburster scene from Alien. For the longest time I would sleep face down because I was afraid a facehugger would get me while I was sleeping on my back. Later on I saw the spine ripping scene from Predator and I was afraid a yautja would rip out my spine while I sleep on my stomach. So in order to make it the least likely to happen for both I would just sleep on my side from then on.
He also showed me Bishop from Aliens torn in half and I didn’t know he was an android so I thought that’s what the organs of humans looked like and the milky blood was just from extreme tissue damage.

To add onto the Strangereal example. There are some analogies to real world countries. Such as Osea and the FCU represent the US and Japan (Osea is basically a combination of the US and Japan), Belka representing Germany, Yuktobania representing the Soviet Union, Estovakia representing Russia/Eastern European Countries, and Sapin representing Spain.
I also love how Antarctica is basically unchanged aside from the addition of New Zealand to it.

In Farscape there is a main character named Rigel. When the main cast visits a specific planet in season 1, Rigel eats some of the plants growing on the planet which causes an intoxicating effect on him. When he pees his piss comes out as an explosive. Turns out the sweet tasting plants he ate were used to create ammunition for pulse weapons which are the standard small arm of the galaxy. When members of Rigel’s species eat these plants their bodies metabolize the compounds from the plants into a volatile compound. This is similar to how major military organizations such as the Peacekeepers, refine these plants into ammunition.
Also fun fact the ammunition for pulse weapons is sweet and somewhat edible, so to see how much ammunition you have left you can lick the inside of the magazine. The sweeter tasting the magazine is the more ammunition it has and the more bitter tasting it is the less ammunition it has. It’s also easy to learn how much ammunition you have left since John Chrichton who is a human astronaut from Earth, was able to tell if he fired 500 shots or 600 shots by taste alone. He has only been using pulse weapons for about 4 years as well during this point.

I do something similar but with Lego. Each time I build a mini figure I assemble them from legs to head. I’ve done it literally every single time since I was a kid

Also in some of the cut scenes there was supposed to be a scene of the terminator eating a candy bar with the wrapper on. This was supposed to be showing how the infiltration units can eat to regenerate their skin. But if too much is damaged then the skin starts to die and look waxy as it repairs itself. I think in Genesis it also shows how the skin can regenerate completely with how Arnold melts all the skin off his arm holding the T1000 in the acid. But when Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese travel forward in time, Arnold’s arm is healed. But it’s also been years since I’ve seen Genesis so I could be wrong about that.

For context there was a bug that would cause all of your internal organs to be dispensed onto a lunch tray or plate. This was due to the fact that plates work by automatically picking up food items nearby and since organs are technically edible…

Space Station 13 mentioned! RAHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS A NORMAL BUG REPORT!

There are a few countries in Ace Combat that are pretty similar to real world countries. Osea is similar to the US and Japan, the FCU is similar to the US, Sotoa is similar to Middle Eastern countries as well as Bedouin and Mongolian nomads, Erusea has some French aspects, Emmeria is similar to Britain.
Then there are some of the more less subtle analogies. Belka is pretty much Germany with the Belkan War being Strangereal’s equivalent of WW2, Yuktobania is similar to the Soviet Union with both Osea and Yuktobania having a Cold War and both nations were allied in the Belkan War, Estovakia is similar to Eastern European countries as well as Russia.
And my favorite example is Sapin which is literally Spain but with two letters flipped. Sapin’s flag is also pretty similar to Spain’s flag but with the colors swapped.
Also Antarctica is pretty much entirely unchanged aside from New Zealand being a part of it.
