You keep going on your "look, this really happened to me, I swear" schpiel. Stop being so offended and making false pretensens; I never doubted it happening to you. What I said was that similiar numbers on the box exists on real Buds too. So quit saying this is the indicator of it being fake--it's not.
Also, learn how to make paragraphs and sentences, and when to add commas. An example of the latter two:
I'm not going to admit anything because there's nothing to admit and the only thing that happened is you tried to stir a pot and continue to do so with inflammatory comments and attempting to insult me by calling me a child when it's obvious who that is here as you attacked me from the beginning
Feel free to respond with more diversions and strawmen. I'm done arguing with you. Please stop spreading lies and misinformation.
ColtMrFire
You were proven wrong. I have actual photo proof if I need to go dig it up for you
You clearly do not understand the meaning of the word "proof", when you offer to provide evidence, as you so far haven't.
Furthermore, I never questioned the validity of your claim. I actually always assumed it to be true. It doesn't matter what happened to you. The point is that those factors do not define whether something is genuine or not, as they are found on genuine Galaxy Buds as well.
Using big words
Falsifiability isn't a big word. And its meaning is something even a 6 year old can understand. Unlike you, I won't sink to the level of calling you dense. In fact, I think you know and understand everything I've said fully well. I just think you are the archetypical Redditor, who refuses to bown down and admit being wrong.
ColtMrFire
Your original claim is stupid as saying: "I once bought white Galaxy Buds--turned out they were fake. I then bought some black Galaxy Buds and they were genuine. Clearly, all white Galaxy Buds are fake!"
Neither the tape nor the SN is what determines whether something is fake or not. So, no, you don't have knowledge; you just have your anecdotal experience. This is literally a textbook example of falsifiability
I suggest you cross over, or delete, your original post, as it's blatant misinformation. Let's see if you can be mature enough to do that.
ColtMrFire
Your third picture proves they're fakes. The serial numbers will be different for all three pieces. They're the same all around.
Don't spread bullshit with no knowledge. I've bought several Buds Live and Pro units directly from Samsung's online store. The three serial numbers on the right side are ALL the same. They also all have white stickers as a seal on the one end (and another sticked on the other).
ColtMrFire
No ANC. Also I think the IP rating is not the greatest, though I had no issue working out with them (I think it's not supposed be an issue here either, anyway). Biggest drawback for me is honestly that it doesn't sound as good as the original buds and the Sonys. But that's nitpicking, considering it's better than virtually any other TWS other than those anyway.
In any case, feel free to check out the opinions on them here:
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/wireless-bluetooth-earbuds-in-ear-headphones
Or on Crinacle (his rating is based purely on SQ, though):
https://crinacle.com/guide/tws/
Rtings will have their Buds Pro review publicly available (currently early access) in a few days, too.
ColtMrFire
One is clearly better microphone, way better sound quality (industry-leading, in fact), has smaller size and is a whole lot cheaper: The Buds Pro. Is this even up for debate?
I know there's many factors to an IEM. But at the core is sound quality, and already here the Buds series knock the Sennheisers out by a long shot. In ANC The Buds Pro is clearly not as good, though. In battery life they're similiar too.
And I'm saying that as someone who uses a non-Samsung phone, and dislikes the hell out of the inability to use their Scalable Codec and various extra features.
ColtMrFire
If I'm in a really quiet room, ANC doesn't improve sound quality, so I'll turn it off to get better battery life.
I meant as in frequency response is different with ANC on. Crinacle talks about it: https://crinacle.com/2020/06/25/akg-n400-review-the-better-galaxy-buds/
What's your take?
ColtMrFire
Well, the Buds+ is the closest to that, I'd say. 11 hour battery life on one charge, pretty small in size, only bested by its Buds brothers in SQ in the industry, among the best in microphone and good quality control. And they are very cheap relative to the rest of the mark.
It's so strange seeing this community talk about so many other IEMs than the Galaxy Buds. Is it because of associating them with Samsung and their phones? Take a look at Rtings or Crinacle, or other serious sources on TWS. There's a consensus on the Buds being the best in sound, and also generally the best, or among the best, allrounders..
Btw, 65t is better than the 75t in SQ by a significant degree. So if you're buying JAbra to begin would, I'd suggest getting the cheaper and, imo superior, 75t.
ColtMrFire
Would get the Galaxy Buds instead. Original ones go for very cheap, and are still among the best-sounding IEMs out there--only bested by the newer Buds Pro (apparently--can't say for sure myself, personally, before I get it tomorrow). Even the Buds+ go for a really good price, and have ridiculously good battery life, as well as great microphone.
ColtMrFire
I have and use both. The Bose are unbeatable in terms of audio quality and noise cancellation.
No, they absolutely are not. They are nowhere close to unbeatable or at the top. It's a pretty unison consensus among any reputable sources on this topic the best TWS IEMs. And by serious I don't mean your average tech tuber who have terrible ears, and even worse objective opinions. I mean crinacle, Rtings, the user community on Soundguys, various audiophile forums, etc.
They don't all have the exact same opinion, or are without their faults, but on the whole they come to most of the same conclusions about what's good or bad. The highest any TWS gets on the sources I gave is on Rtings, and that's Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Truly Wireless at 4th (or probably 5th, as Rtings have not made their Buds Pro review publicly available yet).
/u/wesman, I suggest you follow the advice put forth by the various users above. There's little doubt about the Galaxy Buds series being the best in SQ out there. They also happen to be all-around great IEMs in terms of microphone quality, battery life, connection, quality control, etc.
And before somebody in here calls me out as a Samsung fanboy--I hate Samsung phones and Samsung software, and I'm an active Pixel phone user. But I'm also someone who take sound quality in general more seriously than your average person.
Of course, sound is all subjective. There's no golden rule of what frequency curve is correct, though there is generalized acceptance and understanding of a neutral response being the right one, which has become a target of many producers to go after. But technically, in tonality, bass response, seperation, soundstage, detail and airiness, there is some level of objectivity. And here the Buds, while excellent in tuning, are at the top of the list. Bose isn't even top 5 here.
Is Bose better than Pixel Buds? Of course. Then again, most IEMs are. The Pixel Buds are awful overall, with so many issues and problems all over the place, and not really excelling in any area, that it's astonishing how people in forums like these, well-informed of all of this, still buy these overpriced buds.
ColtMrFire
I've never gotten this. I've had dozens of TWS, headphones and other gadgets over the year, as well as many different smartphones. I've only ever had to connect to any of them once, which is was the first time. After that, simply turning them on got them connected. Same with my TWS pairs, where simply opening the package paired.
Don't get me wrong. I've had lots of issues, and I generally just hate bluetooth. But connection after using them has never been an issue of mine. I have literally only had problems once, and that was my car. But that was the car media player itself, as it was a problem with all phones needing to pair to it every single time it started. And that was an old Hyundai Getz, btw.
ColtMrFire
Oh wow, that's really sad to hear...
Crinacle claimed they sounded noticably better with ANC on, which is honestly sad, considering the lower battery life here. What's your take?
Also what bluetooth codec did you use? I notice significant differences in frequency response between them on my current Buds Live, too. Assume it's the same here as well.
Thx for the info about model numbers. I'll be getting several Buds Pros, so I'll be able to pick and choose.
ColtMrFire
. I bet the battery life is a little lower than advertised.
Why? It was higher than advertised for literally every other Buds they released--or at the very least as good. Nothing's certain, of course, but Samsung are probably the only ones whose battery life numbers for TWS have been honest.
What I'm most interested in is tests with SBC and AAC, as testing with only Samsung phones and codecs is representative for only...Samsung users...
All that being said, while Rtings do most things really well, I find their approach lacking in many respects. They set odd standards of "Neutral Sound" signature, as was evident by the highrating they gave to an HD800, while at the same time doing so for a, say, Sundara. These two have completely difference FQ curves, and standards that they try to reach.
However, they get most things right, for the most part. In TWS, the Galaxy Buds being rated so high is completely in line with what I hear as well, sound quality-wise. As is what reputable audiophiles with good ears, like crinacle, have stated (though I don't trust his Galaxy Buds Pro review all that much, and am waiting until I get to test it myself next week--he got it beforehand by Samsung, a rarity for a reviewer like him, which imposes the factor of bias).
ColtMrFire
Well I'm not gonna read this wall of text.
It's completely fine that you're not gonna appreciate the fact that I bothered to write all those words for you. But there's no need being an asshole about it. You're not gonna bother reading, then don't bother saying anything and move on.
ColtMrFire
What are YOU on about. The level of exposition in terms of posts, as well as comments by users, of said phones is nowhere near the level of popularity of them in Europe. The Pixels, for examples, hardly has any market share in general, and virtually none in Europe (despite being available in parts of it). I've never met a single person IRL that knew what a Pixel was, but have met many Americans online in non-tech social circles who do (thoug it's not common, as Pixel is still not a popular brand). I've been in the US and seen how Pixels are among the leading products on display in Best Buy and Verizon store, and the Pixel ads. Pixels are rarely found in physical stores in Europe, and in those that are, it's often more "hidden", whereas Huawei, Samsung and Apple have their own sections.
However, the amount of posts about Google Pixels on Reddit is ridiculous, and in no way correlated to its market share. Samsung and Apple, who also happen to sell in the US, are the only ones with more attention on r/hardware and r/Android (not including Apple for the latter)--who also sell in the US. But Xiaomi and Huawei phones have not recieved anywhere near the level of attention that they should, if we look at how well they sell in Europe, and their massive market share. Huawei in particular. They dwarf in comparison to OnePlus in exposition. In fact, since the whole trade war escalated, most Huawei posts have not even been about their phones, but them as a company.
Why does this happen? Because this sub is overwhelmingly American. The majority of posts are from American tech sites and by American tech reviewers, who, as we know, rarely reviewed or talked about Huawei units even before the ban. Which is obvious, as it wasn't sold on the American market, and therefore provided little value to make reviews and articles about.
Even politically the American dominance is obvious on r/Android. Like the clear political stance on Chinese-made phones, where you see a clear difference between Americans and Europeans. The Americans are much more often anti-most things Chinese, echoing the same propaganda from their own media, whereas Eurpoean media--due to European governments having nowhere near as bad of a relationship--has not been like that. And you see clearly which group dominateds, by which kind of opinions are upvoted/downvoted the most. And certainly also which kind of opinon is made the most.
It's maybe hard for you to see that as American. We Europeans have our own regional and domestic tech sites we also follow, and also our own markets that we live in and are constantly exposed to. We experience the relevance of Huawei and Xiaomi directly, and can also as a result make a comparison between that and what we see on places like here on Reddit. And that is, as I just mentioned, not just phones, but everything else.

It also shows the complete hypocrisy of Western intellectual community. Nobody is denying Erdogan being a criminal, but his worst crimes have been done with Western supported, and been mostly ignored by the media. He became viewed negatively because he got "out of order" in other areas (like the refugee crisis). Turkey in the 90's was the height of Turkish terrorist war against Kurds, killing tens of thousands; far, far worse than anything Erdogan can be blamed for. There was complete silence about this happening in media, all the while Western powers had good relationship with the country and more than happy supplying the country with the weapons to do these things. Were any leaders or individuals berated for this? NO.
Or take say the relationship with other more brutal dictatorships today, like Saudi-Arabia, which apart from disgusting domestical politics, also is the main exporter of wahabi ideology and islamic militant terrorism, and has for almost a decade now destroyed Yemen as a country and committed massive atrocities. Where is the criticism of Western companies having great relationships with this country? Of Western powers having good relationship and supporting this country? Again, almost complete silence. That include football clubs, that have many commercial relationships with the country, as well as other brutal gulf states, which are often the host for the football teams' summer breaks.
The UK government alone has made its most profitable arms sales in its history to Saudi-Arabnia the past decade, which the country uses to murder a mostly defenseless population. Have any of them gotten flak about it? No. It has rarely ever been brought up even, and attempts to do so has been actively suppressed. Have football players and clubs that have had relationships with the UK governments of Cameron, May and Johnson? No.
And remember, there's complete silence or apathy of this in the media. Why? Because those are groups belonging to the power systems in our society, and they are the ones not only setting the agenda, but also the values of right/wrong that the subservient media and intellectual community follow. Ozil did the mistake of having an opinion that was against the decided norms of the time; he supported the wrong autocrat.

while Gündo was 2nd choice at best.
He absolutely was not "2nd choice at best". Dude was coveted and massively wanted by teams like Real Madrid and Fergie's Man Utd. when he was in Dortmund (something he has bitched Dortmund preventing him from lot about afterwards). And fo a very good reason: he was world-class. He was one of the essential players of the peak Dortmund team of Klopp. The core of that team, which in a "brief" 1-2 year period was ranked at 4th in ELO, was Lewa, Gundo, Hummels and Reus; all already-world class by then, and specifically the former three the most essential contributors to the team's performance both domestically and in the CL.
It's only after his big back injury his performance got worse. But even after this, he was considered good enough for Pep to bring him over to Man City, and he was 1st choice their entire first season, playing almost always the entire match whenever he wasn't injured. It's only in 17/18 season, he started losing playing time (though still playing full games, or up to, the overwhelming majority of the time).
ColtMrFire
Same reason all the European Turks are. It's completely ordinary for diasporas to be much more irrationally nationalistic than people of their home countries. Even non-disapora supporters. Just take a look at how pro-Israeli supporters in the US are; they're most of the time more extreme than actual Israelis.
Now, I'm not saying Turkish people are any better either, as Erdogan has clearly many supporters. Or that the issue starts with Erdogan; fanatical Turkish nationalism goes across the political spectrum, and includes even Erdogan's enemies. Just take a look at the stance on Kurds in the country, or the many crimes and behaviors of the Turkish state in the Syrian civil war. The HDP is really the only relevant party that is opposed to much of it.
ColtMrFire
Article is wrong. SD765G provides 27% faster SC performance than SD845, as Anandtech Spec benches showed. Even SD730 is around ~10% faster.
Couple that with 6GB (big bottleneck in 3), and P4 provides a generational performance improvement over P3 in CPU.

Why aren't the German and Portuguese leagues more popular in this sub than the Premier League, for example?
Why aren't good hamburgers more popular than McDonalds ones. The reason is because commercialization also mean pouring of money into marketing and advertising (for more exposure).
My boy thinks Danny Oceans and his crew robbed Cancelo.
