I decided that I'm not but buying any space Marines with the goal of making my army stronger through generic space Marines detachment rules. I had an Ork army on sprues so I'm assembling them now.

You should check prices on eBay and see if you can sell anything you don't want. I'm thinking of selling my death company intercessors box and tactical blood Angels assault Terminator box. I get why people want the Terminators but not the DC.

Ok yeah I definitely think they have the wrong base on them. Will need to fix. That makes sense about the silhouette. I can always choose weapons based on what makes sense with that.

It is weird about the other chapters. I was looking at their subreddits and there was very little discussion even. I'm definitely seeing it as an opportunity to let my skills evolve though.

Ok that makes sense. I guess that's why magnetizing units is popular. I'm not knowledgeable enough to intentionally chase the meta yet. I have been focusing on the essentials though. Sounds like I need to upgrade my DC jump Marines to primaris. I just bought 5 more ( to make ten) tactical on eBay because I just play them with chain swords. Sounds like I need to upgrade my tactical sanguinary guard as well. It is annoying spending my budget on both. I've been collecting for a while lol

I just started this summer. So this update will have all of our detachments or just a few and we can't use any of the tenth edition ones?

Do you have any other tips with strategy? I started this summer and have only used LAG. I have a repulsor executioner redempter dreadnought And the car thing thing from the 11th edition box. I have your basic lag army. Sanguinary guard, death company, vanguard veterans, jump captains chaplains, and Terminator assault. I have the the 11th edition box as well. I also have two predators. I've been collecting for a few years.

I understand why you are making your DC compliant in the context that tournaments require it. I reason you must do tournaments and that's why? Do people who do friendly games need to do this? I just started this summer.

I hope you are right. This is my first codex version change. My army is built around liberator assault group. I figured a lot would change but dang. It seems like we only have a small picture though. I'm not sure what the point is in the previews of the codex like with the article that dropped. Why give a narrow perspective when it causes a lot of heart ache?
