It's sad that the culture of the patient has to matter when it comes to a personality disorder according to the DSM. A behavior is only okay if it jibes with your culture, apparently.

What counts as music theory? Can sound design be music theory?

ComputerRights

Electronic music has gotten me out of panic attacks!

Because it's often repetitive (something people get shamed for), stigmatized, involves a lot of sounds some people don't like, and isn't made with the philosophy of a school orchestra. And I have a hard time finding women who like it, let alone make it and stick with it, so I wonder if it's a "dumb man thing." I'm non binary and dysphoric

I could see Merzbow being called "grandiose and delusional" or the people who made music for Touhou being called "hyperactive" and offered something that blocks their dopamine

ComputerRights

Does modern psychiatry still buy the theory that some sounds should be avoided, banned, or even medicated?

And while not defending AI per se, some older docs might give outdated or overly restrictive advice, like banning a non-photosensitve epileptic from gaming for life. If said person "listened to their doctor," they'd be devastated, never seek a second opinion and miss out on something they really love, despite the epileptologist down the street acknowledging it's okay.

I was playing Splatoon and thought about how half the game was about inference

I also hope no one will try to correct the outliers.

Do they force you to take them?

I wonder if the last five years of noncompliance saved her.

Or just sign your name in print.

You're slamming the back of your tongue against your soft palate near your uvula; two locations that you can touch and gag from.

I think the lower durability also signals "I take care of my stuff."
