there is no larger consequences. AI slop will slowly die and stop being relevant, meanwhile Good things made with taste and good artistic direction that were only AI ASSISTED and not AI made will keep growing. This technology exists to BOOST creativity, not to stop it.

This mod was made with heart, it is really clear how much the author cared about this when creating it. And the way they found to create the 3D model was a pretty smart way to use this technology.

The argument about "this is STILL stealing someone else's HUMAN skills, since this is something that people are passionate about and have been doing this for years" doesn't really hold up in cases like this: NO ONE would have made something like this by hand: it takes too much time, and, sincerely, someone with THAT level of talent should not be wasting it to create a mod for an old (forgotten by many) videogame. I hope these people use their talent to actually create something new, or, even better, to CREATE in these same companies we're seeing the mods off.

Creating a model from scratch and creating all its animations takes a LOT of time. mods made with AI like these ones are letting everyone enjoy the mod without actually "wasting" someone else's talent, skills and especially TIME.

it's a shame, because what makes final fantasy a what they are is the story. It always was like this, and it's something that you can really brag about when talking about the series.

YES. 60 will feel a little worse when you’ll try 120, however, if you play at 60 again, you’ll get used to it.

I do also think that it makes a lot of sense to cap it at 60 (just like you’re doing now) and get the absolute best graphical settings.

I have a 240hz monitor; yes, it feels good, and it also feels really good to have my fps above 60 (120+) for older games, like ps3 and ps4 era games (i also have a 9070), so it does give you some REAL advantages: you’ll be playing a LOT of games at much more than 60 because older games’ graphics do not stress the Rx 9070 enough to “max it out”, so you can use the extra processing power for FPS.

However, if you mostly play newer games, and ESPECIALLY if you like ray tracing— ABSOLUTELY stay at 60, you do know how much ray tracing is stressful on the gpu.

(If you play fps competitive games, it’s another story: go for the highest Hz possible, you’ll get an advantage and you’ll feel a lot, lot better)

Worth googling a bit, your M2 Max should be more than enough, i think, you should get atleast get a stable 60 though i haven’t verified.
