Answer: in my opinion it's definitely a coordinated smear campaign probably started by TERFs after Pedro became more outspoken in his support for trans rights, and then probably picked up by the right leaning incel groups online. On twitter it's crazy to see all those big, probably company owned, vaguely right leaning "bro culture" accounts all posting the exact same thing.

Then obviously it got picked up into wider circles, mostly being men who have never experienced a close platonic friendship with a women and so latch onto the "creep/groper" label when they see Pedro and Vanessa Kirby being affectionate towards one another.

Oh and also the anxiety thing was never once said by Pedro, it was just randomly stated by a twitter account and everyone ran with it.

Yeah he's either playing one of the craziest characters ever or he's just an idiot. It's probably both.

He has his very clear sarcastic moments that I've seen a lot of Americans struggle to pick up on whereas us brits are used to it and find it funny. He clearly enjoys being a "wind up" and does exactly the right things that he knows a lot of people will hate. I guess that makes him somewhat of a grifter.

To be clear I'm just talking about the stage antics here, the offstage comments I don't even want to think about. Some people love his act, others hate it. Personally I'm indifferent but I can see the appeal.
