Just doing my bit. OP was clearly in a spiral of remorse, recrimination, and revulsion over having bought that abomination.

I can’t stand idly by when a fellow watch dude is in this much pain. PM

Beautiful combination! Is that an OEM strap?
Consistent-Pen6676
I don’t have any problem with the thickness. It is a bit thinner than my Speedmaster, and a bit thicker than my Peter Blake Seamaster, so it feels roughly the same to me. I suspect a lot of the fuss over PML thickness relates to viewing it in the “dress watch” category, but as I wear it interchangeably with other sport watches, that objection just melts away.

We are on the same page. My experience with Omega pieces is that they are astonishingly robust, while the JLC are somewhat more problem-prone.
And I suspect the difference is not merely anecdotal, but rather lies in distinct design and manufacturing philosophies between these two brands.
Nevertheless, I’m a devoted fan of both of them.
Consistent-Pen6676
Agree with all of this, as an owner of both brands.
The Omega will be relatively more robust and durable, and the O-MEGASTEEL is not just marketing hype. And on average you could expect less frequent and less expensive servicing. I can imagine that for someone whose use case leaned more “daily all purpose” might also prefer the greater wrist presence.
But if the use case leans more “dress occasions,” and one is insensitive to cost, the MUT seems the more obvious choice.
Both are stunning in person.

It does look like the lugs extend beyond your wrist. But all that really matters is if you like it . . .

Bravo — the production values on this post are off the charts!

Agreed. I’m no expert, but the Calibre 1120 has an excellent reputation for reliability, and ease of serviceability. But I can’t imagine anyone would suggest it has the overall robustness of the Calibre 8800 or 8900. Whether one values the additional robustness of these modern Omega movements, or considers the pre-coaxial movements “good enough” in that regard, is of course a separate question. Some people prefer having the cutting edge mechanical tech on their wrist, while others neither know nor care as long as they like the look and feel of the watch.
Consistent-Pen6676
This. Those of us who prefer thinner case dimensions and so complain about the design choices Omega has made may not recognize that there are as many or more people (just not on watch Reddit!) who prefer the look of these slightly thicker cases. After all, when people describe a certain watch as having “wrist presence,” they generally view that as a positive aspect, not a negative one. Omega certainly sells a lot of these watches, so somebody must like them.

Such a killer piece, and a fascinating complication. Thanks for the response.
Consistent-Pen6676
It is a beauty! How often do you wear it, and what has your service experience been like?
Consistent-Pen6676
Agreed on all points. If you’ve already been offered an Ed White, I’m confident you’ll be able to add a Snoopy almost whenever you like. And the FOIS really is distinct enough to stand on its own (those alpha hands are fantastic, and the dial color is killer!). Thinking strategically, the way you obviously are, this choice seems fairly straightforward.
Consistent-Pen6676
Of these three, my favorite is the white lacquer Speedy. But if you intend to eventually get a Silver Snoopy as your Moonwatch, and given your current collection, I think the FOIS makes the most sense.
