Thanks man! She’s been pulled down, and rolled up too. I hope you’re enjoying something similar 🤙🏻

I was using one of those dewalt sanders with a vacuum hooked up, and I had a box fan with a hepa filter taped to the back and it wasn’t enough there was dust everywhere

Consistent_Link_164

Yeah the after picture is primed and painted. I sanded it all down, and floated it several times with a 3ft aluminum straight edge then filled small imperfections with a 12 in knife. No more sanding, I was yelled at about dust 😅😭 when it got good enough I sprayed knockdown texture then P&P

Thanks man, haha I was just telling my wife I’m going to do exactly what this guy says

Consistent_Link_164

General purpose 90 minute to start, then 5 minute to do some light fill and spray can texture

Consistent_Link_164

Amazing, thank you for the advice

Consistent_Link_164

Will aluminum screeds work as a Darby?

Consistent_Link_164

Thanks for advice, I’ll be giving ‘er another crack at it

Consistent_Link_164

Not cracked, so I’ll skip tape. It’s definitely both sides

Consistent_Link_164

😂

Consistent_Link_164

Should I sand first on the joint, retape, then hit both sides with a 12” knife? I’ll admit that the piece I patched in wasn’t quite flush with the existing drywall

Consistent_Link_164

Yes I did, I went to great length to find a local supply house that has it
