Watch Archetype Entertainment, Summerfall Studios, Yellow Brick Games, Thought Pennies Entertainment, and North Mist Studio. All of these are studios by people who played key roles at Bioware on some of their best games

Can't believe fantasy branded Xander Harris won

The pirate’s from the lords of fortune. All Indiana jones who give the things they steal back to the rightful owners.

They have a pit to store dead bodies in their base

The antivan crows. In previous entries they are described as indoctrinating children in a training so dangerous only 1 out of 5 survive the training. In veilguard they are the crew from the fast and furious films, with an Italian flair.

The first quest you accept from them shows a teenager dying during training

Tevinter is supposed to be ruled by magisters. Who keep slaves that they use in sacrificial blood magic. All of that is gone for some jolly poor people who speak vaguely about oppression.

You see a magister bleeding through her family's wealth buying slaves to use as fuel for blood magic.

These all ones I can think off right off the top of my head. The series that has made use of different perspectives and how the change what someone will say does that again in Veilguard

Contrary45

Unfortunately most people who discuss it havent played it, the fact of the matter is that most of those threads you are talking about are filled with blatantly false info about yhe game.

Contrary45

Why so hostile?

Contrary45

And you are part of the problem.

Contrary45

The coloring system in Veilguard is trash, it was way easier with the color wheel in DAI. And this isn't something the unique to Dragon Age either, the Sims had a similar system in The Sims 3 with the color wheel and they got rid of it in four, and it's pretty much universally agreed that that system of coloring is better.

I will agree a color wheel would have been nice but it isnt the end of the world when they gjve us nearly 50 colors to choose from for hair for example.

Also head shaping is easier. Veilguard's "choose three heads and then merge them together" is awful.

This is entirely a skill issue, Veilguwrd allows for some of the widest variations I've seen in any game. It's just a matter of actually understanding how it works.

White Inquisition does lack in body shaping, Veilguard's body shaping is laughable. I've sat moving the sliders up and down all the way and changes to the body are almost not visible. Everything is 'small' or 'slightly medium'.

"Game has more choices but I dont like them there for it is worse"

Contrary45

Skill Issue

Contrary45

It is unfortunate how similar her situation is to Weekes', how has this fandom not learned a thing in over a decade.

Contrary45

Unfortunately the DA fandom is one of the most toxic when it comes to disagreements withing 3-4 posts someone's intelligence will be questioned and/or calling someone a nazi or slurs.

Contrary45

Please explain what lore was ruined or retconned?

Edit: lmao someone gave me an award trying to mock me but won't give me any actual lore that was changed. why am I not surprised?

Contrary45

It would get me playing again, I drop the game about 2 years ago when I made pretty much a full switch to PS, everyone in awhile when im just looking for empty fun i think about Halo but than find something else to boot up instead

Contrary45

Yes i have been sent many reddit cares messages along with people calling me slurs and sending death threats in my DMs it had tempered down since launch but I still get the odd one

Contrary45

EDIT: u/Contrary45 Seems your comment got automatically deleted. I can see it in my notifications, but don't see it here and can't fully read it. Maybe try again without using personal names? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lmao what? it is still there? What's wrong with bringing up the names aof the people who worked on the game?

Contrary45

Come on, bro; really? I mean, I called out your dishonesty a few times already, do I really have to do it again?

Where did I lie or are you so still stuck on a conspiracy theory that Corinne Busch was actually fired instead of got another job once her game shipped.

What are you on about?

3 if your last 5 posts on your account which were made within the last few weeks are nothing but a sooner looter shooter. I didnt even need to scroll to find this

Contrary45

Where am I defending it I'm saying everything about Veilguard has been par for the couse since Bioware shipped ME2 lmao. Any kind of positive thing people say about Veilguard you take as glazing the game even if it is 100% true, if anyone is doing mental gymnastics its you because you cant even come to terms with the fact that Veilguard did some thing right.

I dont know what I should expect from someone who consistently plays a mediocre destiny clone that only selling point is boobs

Contrary45

Anyone not born yesterday, and approaching things honestly knows these are euphemisms for both parties to save some face after a colossal failure.

Anyone not born yesterday would know someone who makes less than 200k a year doesnt have a golden parachute.

I couldn't care less what you assume. My native language is gendered, and nouns default to the masculine grammatical gender. "Game director" is masculine.

So even though you know the game director is a woman (I havae to assume you know who she is considering you know about her departure from the studio) you still decide to refer to her as a man because game director is a man's job? That doesnt sound a whole lot better

Contrary45

A game director doesn't just "quit" of his own accord after his game tanks and kills a franchise.

She mentioned already having another job the second her quiting public, also considering you misgender her I have to assume you are just being transphobic

Contrary45

You literally lied about the game director being fired (she quit because she got a job at WotC) and the writers being fired because of the fallout of Veilguard (when about 1/3 of the writing staff was fired before the game even shipped) so who is the one ignoring what actually happened

Contrary45

One more time:

I mean if you want to ignore facts and lie about the last decade of Bioware sure

👍

Contrary45

I mean if you want to ignore facts and lie about the last decade of Bioware sure

Contrary45

The way this community is I can't tell if this is satire or not

Contrary45

KCD2 (and to a lesser extent 1) was a resounding success even if they didn't do BG3 numbers. Because they made an rpg that was good and interesting relative to their available budget.

Warhorse studios is over twice the size of Bioware from an emplyee count

Contrary45

Unfortunately Larian is just a larger studio by a longshot than Bioware is now, Larian has over 600 employees currently while Bioware is sitting somewhere around 100 Bioware in its current state is closer to Obsidan and Owlcat than it is to Larian and Bethesda

Contrary45

that engine is obsolete and has been for a very long time.

It was practically obsolete when the game came out it was just as it was just a heavily updated version of the infinity/aurora engine
