Old Rancho isn't that bad. Certainly some ares you want to avoid, but a dear friend has lived on Zinfandel for 15 years wirh no drama, a block up from Mitchell.

Conservatives used the Red Scare to break Unions, and they did an amazing job at doing so. The only Union they like is the FOP (Police) and it's not really a Union in the traditional sense.

People gotta eat. People need medicine, heat, food, water, etc.
And the ones that are least liable to have the ability to lose their jobs because of calling out in protest are the numbers we would need, and the jobs that would need to be shut down due to stoppage, and they can't just strike for 2 weeks.
Now, if we had billionaires on the left who would be willing to fund mutual aid on a scale similar to what the billionaires on the right did for "Tea Party" and such, then maybe it could work, but co-ordination would be very difficult.
You'd need mass work callouts across all sectors of society, from Police and Firefighters, office workers, assemply line employees, restaurant and service sector jobs, cleaners, trades..... You would also have to convince those jobs that tend to skew to the MAGA side of things, such as Police, and Blue Collar trades, that they are being hurt by MAGA too. Because they are, even if they don't know it. But decades of indoctrination have worked wonders on making the working man hostile to the other workers based on race and culture war bullshit.
Hell, in 2024 the National Firefighters Union refused to endorse a candidate, for the first time ever, AFAIK. Too many firefighters have drunk the Kool Aid, and pushed their IAFF stewards to send the message that they didn't want to endorse the Democrat.

If this is in the US courts, he will take the 5th all day.

Russian money laundering and scamming his base with fake phones, cheap shoes, and a crypto grift?

I have alwaya believed that the difference in enat is wanted is based on Doctrine. US/NATO forces train a doctrine that involves engagement and suppression of the enemy at a further distance than Warsaw Pact/Russia doctrine.

If some high school cross country kid ends up in your group, you are doomed. I see those kids crushing it in like 16 minutes. Madness.

They did the big standard non-racist border actions, with millions of interactions and border stops each year. The "Open Border" thing has always been a lie.
And yeah. They dropped the ball pretty hard on trying to make Trump 1.0 accountable for his crimes, he and his cabinet.
Hopefully if we get a blue Congress and White House and we can get some damn indictments come early 2029.

Russia wasn't going to die if they couldn't destroy Ukraine.
This is the most Russian cope I have openly seen.
The war would end if Russia would leave the country they invaded. Simple. Easy.

Don't forget the freshly appointed new head of the DOJ going on air to say that the Mueller report exonerated Trump, lying to the public. Literally within an hour of it's release.
CriticalDog
...how did that happen to come about? If I can ask.

If you joined the US military, you usually sign up for a 4 year hitch.
A LOT of people in the military were in, or coming in, as Biden was losing* the 2024 election.
And you can't just quit. It's not like a normal job.

No. Fuck that stupid noise.
Israel does not represent all of Jewish identity.
There are plenty of Jewish people who are horrified by what Israel has done the last few years. Do those Jewish people hate Jews? Seems kind of an odd take.
We can (and should) criticize the actions of the State of Israel, without it being claimed as being some sort of weird hate on the global Jewish community.

The old school Libertarian party is long dead, and has just become a recruiting ground for MAGA. These days the modern Libertarian is someone who wants to legalize drugs, eliminate as much government regulation as possible, and get rid of age of consent laws. And that's about it. That deregulation and the kiddy diddling is why they vote MAGA.

So that's how that Legend of Zelda Charged Attack works!

My understanding is SLC gets a lot of the non-White Mo's, who bring diversity and exposure, which tends to (in normal circumstances) lead to some liberalization. It's why even red states like Texas have blue cities.
That said, per an ex-mo friend, they do seem nice, even in SLC, but they are judging you. Always.

I think a lot of these sorts suffer from American Exceptionalism. The assumption is that if the US government has collapsed, then everyone else has too. Which is stupid, but then again, look at these people.

They did have dogs, and some tribes famously used travois with their dogs to haul items, but there wouldn't have been enough haulage capacity to drag ore from it's mine to a smelting location.
My time travel fantasy is to take a couple dozen mares and about 8 stallions and drop them into North America around the 900's AD.
Also several flocks of chickens, and a genetically stable number of pigs.

Was tin a known thing in that era? Do we have evidence of Tin usage around this same time? Because that would be cool as heck.

For copper? Big flat rock.

You could ask for one, and you'll probably just be given their "business card". But also, in most states, it doesn't matter what the reason is, if you're late you can be docked, or written up, or anything else. "At Will" states basically have laws that state that anyone can be fired for any reason, whenever, with no warning. Exceptions are that you can't be fired for being a protected class (age, race, etc) but, since you can be fired for any reason but those, a business can just say "former employee was no a good fit for our corporate culture" or whatever and they are fired with no recourse.
CriticalDog
If you have a lawyer, yes.
Many people getting stopped and treated like this don't. So the stop because "I smelled marijuana" becomes an hour long wait, and now you're late to work, or missed your appointment, or paying insane late fees to pick up your kid from daycare late....
Thus the working class are beaten down, as the system demands.

Not my area, so I don't know much about him. Based on his Wiki article, and his campaign site, he would still be a better choice than Eric Conroy, whose campaign site looks nice, but has the usual anti-Trans dog whistles and basically parroting the pro-MAGA line.
So those are your choices, and one of them will win. Or you can prove my point and note vote, or waste your franchise with a 3rd party candidate.
For you.
In PA, there are volley companies that have 0 training requirements, they will teach you what you "need to know" and you'll be interior as fast as they can teach you how to mask up.
Mine has strict rules about training levels and tasks you could do. Interior is still only allowed for FF1, or somome who has completed essentials and had a 16 hour SBS.
Shame we miss most calls now because of a lack of volunteers.
