“I was not aware of that!”

CrypticBalcony

Happens to the first kid to die in The Long Walk (the novel)

I just heard a theory (or maybe this is canon, idk) that that song is actually about Jesus. “He’s a god, he’s a man, he’s a ghost” could refer to the Holy Trinity. “You’ll see him on the TV screen / hey buddy, I’m warning you to turn it off” might be talking about the danger of listening to televangelists.

CrypticBalcony

No, I get it, I’m just saying that it looks a lot more like Polychrome than Holographic or Foil

CrypticBalcony

This looks like a Polychrome joker from Balatro

CrypticBalcony

I don’t remember the song (I’ve only listened to that EP once), but that’s absolutely something she’d write about

CrypticBalcony

Saw this on a field trip in eighth grade. Have never forgotten the sound of a hundred children going “ohhhhhh” as they all simultaneously realized the twist

CrypticBalcony

Even just Moon-gwang coming back and being relevant at all was surprising. Reminds me a lot of The Spot in Across the Spider-Verse

They made him sell his father’s fucking watch to get back from Mexico!! There’s no way he makes it out of all the events in that movie unscathed — he literally attempted suicide like ten minutes before the ending

CrypticBalcony

My girlfriend figured out the twist at what I think is the first possible moment — when you see Mido in the hotel room with the angel wings Dae-su bought for his daughter in the first scene. I was so baffled when she went “that’s his fucking daughter!!” like five minutes before the true reveal

It’s on the plane.

“I sting you, you step on me?”

“That just kills you twice.”

As an inland country, I found a job

Yes, he’s the whole country

CrypticBalcony

I first noticed this in the Poker Face episode he made his acting debut in

CrypticBalcony

This feels like a line from Season 1 of True Detective

CrypticBalcony

Best scene in the movie from a visual standpoint. That and the Christmas tree

Good lord, Dak Prescott just walked through the tunnel walking perfectly normally. He said he had “no time” to talk. Too busy embarrassing himself, apparently.

CrypticBalcony

Remind anyone else of Run 2 on CoolMathGames?

Not that I liked billboards to begin with, but every billboard in Times Square is for AI now, and they’re designed with all the creativity of a default Apple Music playlist thumbnail.

This is at least a half-dozen NFL head coaches

CrypticBalcony

“Sorry, kids! We don’t go to the World Series anymore, we get swept in the ALDS! That’s the rule, that’s the goal now!”

CrypticBalcony

Desperation is a Stephen King novel set in a creepy Nevada small town on an otherwise empty stretch of highway

CrypticBalcony

Give ‘em the old Being John Malkovich treatment

CrypticBalcony

I feel like I’d enjoy it a lot more if I’d ever seen Jeff Bridges in anything. The Nicole Kidman prompt from a season or two ago was also completely lost on me
