there is a recent case in mississippi where a black woman was found hanging in a tree. just this week a man was arrested for murder. to note, the man arrested was black as well. when she was first found her friends and family insisted it was not suicide, and it appears they were correct. also elsewhere and recently in mississippi, a young black man was missing then found drowned on a barrier island in the gulf. no one has been arrested for his death however people have been charged in ohio for death threats to the white friends he was with on the boat prior to dying. given mississippis history a lot of people point to racism and lynchings. if there are other cases of black people found hanging recently i am unaware. tiktok is notorious for sensationalizing crime and should be taken with a grain of salt in most cases. clicks and views result in money and controversial takes generate more views.
