I had found Winter Palace in my search and agree with you that from the reviews I read it seemed too citrusy for what I was looking for, thank you for confirming that. The Bvlgari Parfumée au Thé Rouge and House of Matriarch Trillium sound particularly appealing, though these are all very much what I was looking for!
