Or maybe your bar for code quality is not very high
DMKAI98
Yeah, they said it in this year's Code with Claude event. It starts at 15:43 in their yt livestream. They don't go in detail about it, though
DMKAI98
Anthropic has said one of their main goals is to make their models good at writing "mergeable" code. OpenAI is still behind in this metric.
DMKAI98
Yeah, it's the only robotics company I'm following closely
DMKAI98
Embrace AI and try to be the best engineer you can be. I'm in a different country, but even with AI, my company is still looking for great engineers, because some of the current ones are just writing slop code. I don't know about 5 years from now, but you still have some time. Also, swe jobs are not the only thing that will change, the entire world will be different. Interesting times ahead, I'm optimistic about it.
DMKAI98
Automated AI research is already starting this year, actually. Don't miss OpenAI's DevDay
DMKAI98
Yeah, a new interface that is able to solve math problems that were left unsolved for decades
DMKAI98
Opus 4.67
DMKAI98
Yep, that's what they are doing. It's fine. However, it's for both the free version and the $8 tier (ChatGPT Go)
DMKAI98
Unless you are paying for the Go plan, I don't see your point in cancelling it. Plus and Pro users won't see ads. Also, they won't sell your data, they will only show clearly labeled ads related to the conversation.
DMKAI98
It's for a specific kind of 5x5 matrix too
DMKAI98
If you were a software engineer your opinion would flip completely
DMKAI98
I don't see it happening so fast. Sure, models could get much better in a single year, but the impacts on society will be much more gradual.
I'm also a developer and most of my coworkers don't even use AI agents yet, but they are doing fine anyways. I'm actually in a role in which I'm helping the company to speed up adoption, because otherwise it's so slow.
However, even if things change faster than I expect, I'm actually excited to see it. There's so many problems to be fixed all around us, and AI will enable the solutions.
It will certainly be a bumpy road, but it's also a huge opportunity to those who understand what we are going through.
DMKAI98
Gemini is a much better deal. Google is charging like, less than 3 dollars per month for their most basic plan.
DMKAI98
Yeah, I'm starting to realize that too. We can already do so much with a great prompt + great tools. Claude is awesome for agentic work in many areas, and GPT Pro can go deep in the most difficult tasks. It's just a matter of integrating them properly. The big promise of AGI is that it will integrate itself, just like humans do when they get a new job.
DMKAI98
There is at least one company doing a wheeled robot with arms, but I don't remember which one. Let's see if they get any advantage over the other companies.
DMKAI98
Maybe it's a bubble, but don't forget they own Windsurf too. Windsurf is almost as good as Cursor, and Devin is also not bad.
Btw, the Windsurf plugin for Jetbrains has 4 million downloads, and it's growing fast: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/20540-windsurf-plugin-formerly-codeium-for-python-js-java-go--/reviews

The (main) dirty side should face the ground, and one dish should not block the water from reaching another one. For dishes that are not so dirty it still works if you break some rules, but I'd like my robot to do it the right way.
And yeah, Generalist is doing something different there, it's so good.
DMKAI98
Yes, because it's still useless. The dishes won't be cleaned properly if they are placed like that, and it doesn't seem like the robot realizes he has done a poor job.
I'm only impressed when I see something better than anything I've seen before. This demo from Generalist is much more impressive: https://x.com/GeneralistAI_/status/1935014110107942937
DMKAI98
So close, but at the same time so far away
DMKAI98
Me after I made Claude make 1 week of work in 8 hours

My vote goes to "New Machines" by Vinyl Theatre:
"I wanna know where we go 20 years from now Will we see a future built by new machines?"
DMKAI98
GPT-5 is the only model I'm waiting for right now. Maybe Grok 4 is interesting too, but nothing compared to GPT-5.
DMKAI98
Yeah, just kidding man, but it will still take some time to do really useful work
Well that didn't work out with GPT 6
