Hindsight has worked for me.

And for those of us who don't speak chinese, these are all rework boards because the 50 series is so unreliable they break almost as soon as you take them out of the box. 😂

DaMoot

Nah tinker cad is the simplest thing in the world to use

DaMoot

I definitely don't see how that's safe. Might not even be real. China fakes everything, after all. 😆

DaMoot

Tinker cad!

DaMoot

V100s work just fine. Nothing will change with ggufs.

My distro hopping days were almost 30 years ago when I used Slackware and FreeBSD for my main distros. Now I just use Debian unless instructions call for Ubuntu specifically. And it seems like almost everything is a Debian base now.

DaMoot

Sony Vegas gets an update huh? Guess I should see what's new since 13.

Qwen 3.8 27b

Discord is best

DaMoot

Why not use your oven like a normal person? 😂

DaMoot

Python. Rust is a fun game but had gotten away complicated over the years.

Looks like legit quant comparison. You're comparing something that's had half of it's possibilities rounded out. Q8 or go home. Q5 of youhave to choose a smaller quant, or Q6. Q4 and beyond is largely obsolete (imo).

DaMoot

Remove it and install an xt30. Barrel connectors suck.

DaMoot

How'd you get that wearing... Wrist... Guards? ;)

DaMoot

Disable/remove unnecessary tools. That's a big one. Same for skills. Optimize tool schemas because several of them are way bloated. Evaluate the prompt builder as it also has several moderate optimizations. Keep your soul and memory files lean.

Ask Claude to help you optimize schemas and descriptions down. Give it the prompt builder to optimize.

IMO you're going to struggle with 3.8 q4 because it's going to think and overthink and fix what it thought about and then think about it some more because the quant got it wrong. Even on Q8 it goes into over thinking loops. Things that used to take my agent 5 minutes to do now take up to 45 due to 3.8s ridiculous thinking.

DaMoot

Yes it is token inefficient. Audit and edit the prompt builder and associated injections as you see fit. You can shave off thousands of tokens from bootstrap.

Haven't had issues with cache or token invalidation in several versions though.

Never streamed to it. Just ran through the recommended setup doc and they support some pretty low bitrates. 6k is their max recommended but people say 8k max.

Are you using nvenc for encoding? Also, try using a standard resolution. High bitrate 720p will look better than bitrate-starved 1080p.

DaMoot

Streaming what to where? For 1080p30, 10,000 HVEC is my base for streaming over 5G to YT. I'd never go less than 10Mbit on wire. The platform will always restream at its own bitrate so you want to send the best quality you can.

And using a strange resolution like 936 or 836 will make things more blurry as you're forcing playback to scale/resample down to 720p or up to 1080p.

DaMoot

DeepSeek is definitely part off the issue. Terrible model and astroturfed to death.

You need to set up Hindsight or some other memory provider, though. That will actually fix the memory part. The lack of instruction adherence and going off on wild goose chases is the model.

DaMoot

Larix Broadcaster has treated me well streaming by SRT. It can stream directly to obs, and streaming to something like OvenMediaEngine as an intermediate layer makes it even more solid.

DaMoot

Holy prompt bloat, batman!

DaMoot

A bunch of your list is model issues, not memory provider. I just noticed you mentioned "DS", presumably DeepSeek, which could explain a lot since DS gets confused and lost very easily. Getting lost doing things, having to constantly prompt and probe, mid context stupidity. That's all model. And if DS means DeepSeek, that's all normal DS behavior on every release of DS I've ever used.

Helmet is good but make sure you have wrist guards too. I've never ride with crash shorts (even though I do when snowboarding) but totally agree on their benefit.

DaMoot

Going to be hard to get something useful in such little VRAM.
