I think it can be really quite sexy and intriguing as I've never had "the pleasure" of one 😂

In order to keep costs down (from constantly paying to sack managers), they'll go down the Forest Green route of not having a manager and do everything by committee.
Probably the class of 92?!

I started at 39 and really enjoyed it - only stopping while I wait for surgery to repair an old injury).
I'm glad I started later, I was far more composed and mature (in that my ego didn't rule the roost) and able to listen better.
Once the surgery is done and the year's recovery is done, I can't wait to go back.
You'll meet the odd "double hard" dickhead, but the community in general tend to be really level headed people, who are determined and know what they're there for.

In some ways, it only fuels the argument that Christian values and celebrations are being diluted in the name of diversity.
Then again, if places put up things for Eid etc. "we're having it rammed down our throats."
We have a choice... "Celebrate" all of them or none of them.
I know and work with people from all major faiths and all of them celebrate them and Christmas (with many 'celebrating' Christmas by putting in for the overtime - and good on them I say because it means people who want it off can have it- everyone wins!).
In this case, as a business it is down to them to know what their customers want and consumers have the choice of going there or not. It's not as if they are the only shopping centre in the world and people can have their say based on whether they go or not.
If they've dropped a boo-boo and people take their custom elsewhere, all of the companies in the place will make it very clear that they want it restored - and the centre will have to hope that custom will return.d
Dagenhammer87
The charts system collapsed when they factored in streaming. The same names and songs appear in the top 20 every Christmas and whenever a big name releases a hotly anticipated album.
The year that every song on Ed Sheeran's album made the top 20 was a joke.
If nothing new can ever really come into that sphere, it will eventually eat itself.
I personally couldn't care less now. The amount of money that goes into promoting artists puts all the power in the hands of those who can afford to do it.

I think that's the ultimate question you'll have to wrestle with.
It's inappropriate to look at a child of any age in such a way and I think for the sake of your kids' safety (daughter's especially) and your own sanity, it is worth considering speaking to the school or social services.
You know him the best, so you'll know whether it was a misconstrued comment or something outwardly out of character.
Unfortunately, it looks a lot like a lose/lose situation. Do nothing and know that these thoughts may be being harboured or do something (and either way) the relationship probably doesn't survive.
Despite this, the safety of you and your kids is paramount and if I was in the same position; I couldn't just pretend none of it happened.
Dagenhammer87
The tone of the advert is one of sacrifice.
It's not just Dad putting his life and mental health on the line, but Mum misses the support of her partner in everyday life and the kid misses out on having someone to go to etc.
I believe the fact that he wasn't conscripted gives the dedication to keeping us safe (at home and abroad) so much more gravitas - it was a choice to do that.
Everyone here sacrifices for us, so supporting the RBL means that a donation can provide some level of support for them.
Dagenhammer87
Sounds like you've been through a really difficult time - but I'm not sure what you're thinking/feeling/expecting is quite how it works.
There are things that we really want in life that we think are best for us, but they're things that will only hurt us more.
Some things stay for a season and at that time are right for us. Then there comes a time when their purpose has been served and life moves them on. Other things will be around forever and we don't get to choose where they fit.
The phrase "Sometimes not getting what you want can be a massive stroke of luck."
It may be that after a time apart, he comes back and things work out great... But holding onto that may only hurt you more if he doesn't.
If he does come back, will it be the same - or will that scar from what caused the split always be really noticeable and brought up in future conflicts? That's a tough ask, even if everyone is really committed to it not being.
Remember - if something's for you, it won't pass you by.
I'm not saying move on straight away (take sold time to heal, refresh and process all that's happened) but at some point you're going to have to consider it.
I know how you feel, my last relationship started really well but got chipped away at and I really wanted it all to resolve itself.
Then I met my wife and she is the greatest thing that ever could've happened for me. I will never bad mouth my ex, but that was never going to go well.
My entire life has been transformed because my wife has had the grace to help me start healing from a lifetime of horrible stuff and we've built a life I couldn't even dream of.
My nightly prayers generally look like gratitude lists and her being sent to me is always number one on that list.
It'll take time, but there's a few of potential scenarios for you - 1. He comes back and it goes how you hope 2. He doesn't but in time you meet the best person for you, who will always be around and 3. You spend eternity in mourning someone who didn't want to be there anymore and you're the one who misses out on all the joy because you couldn't let go of someone who didn't want to be there.
Dagenhammer87
I don't think you're able to move for red flags here and God knows where you would even start with unpacking that.
That doesn't make any sense to me at all.
Of course, I love both of my kids but it's a very different love.
If it came down to us only having enough food for two etc.they'd get it... And she would say the same. I believe that most people would say the kids are a priority while they have that reliance to manage their lives.
I expect the kids to grow up and have their own lives and she is the constant in my life - so in those ways, she will be first.
My daughter's got a lot of similar personality traits and likes to me... But the roles are very well defined and understood all round.
I can only hope is that he's confused that and used the wrong words, but it's something to keep an eye on.
The stuff about his mum is weird and he clearly needs a bit of help because an Oedipus complex might have something rooted in being a victim himself.

Our carport started collapsing on Friday evening.
In fairness, it was old but the storm certainly played it's part.
Came home to find it hovering above the car and had to take it down.
Couldn't find the tools so went at it with a shovel to break the top panels away and then slid them out.
It was on the list to be done anyway, so it probably was a blessing and didn't hurt anyone or the neighbour's fences.
Now to source a new one and have that fitted!
Dagenhammer87
It's an embarrassment, frankly.
To think we were promised a museum and we ended up with a couple of display cases that look like they let a bunch of year 9s dress.
On the tour, the rooms that the baseball teams have used garners slightly more interest and they've only been used a handful of times.

Paired with a snide Burberry cap, it was a remarkable ensemble.

Community needs to be at the heart of every club and National League, North and South clubs could all create a joint CIC foundation to provide their local schools with branded equipment to generate interest from a young age.
There needs to be a greater emphasis on encouraging kids and young people to become part of their local club, as opposed to top level football clubs that can be miles away and in no way connected to them or their area.
The funding that they are supposed to get from the Premier League needs to find it's way out further - and kids of primary school age should be able to go free with a paying adult registered on their accounts.
I would also look at kick off times and days (if a local Premier League club has their kids for a quid day, consider moving the game to the Sunday - there's never any games on a Sunday generally).
There could also be monthly lotteries to give people the chance for free tickets, shop vouchers, hospitality tickets and tours of the ground.
Matchdays need to start at midday - get people out of local pubs and spending money in the ground. Use the car parks until 1.30 to have different events - rent out space to street food trucks, put on little football sessions and a chance to meet players who aren't in the matchday squad.
I would also work with the league and the FA to see what they can do about their negotiations with EA sports to add clubs as DLC packs in their games. A portion of the money earned from this could be distributed to the leagues below.
I'd also encourage clubs at these levels to create affiliations with local teams in the leagues below so that dual registrations can exist for players under 23 years old so that players can get real world, competitive experience early on - which might give the opportunity for gems to be found.

This has been a lifelong problem that finally I seem to be trying to get a handle on.
It's still very new to me, but removing myself from a situation for a little while helps and gives me time to think and breathe.
Beyond that, it's learning to be able to actually listen to what the spiralling thoughts are saying and what they're worrying about. Trying to stop them only makes them more forceful and actually just "listening" and acknowledging them as being difficult is useful.
I try to imagine that this part of me is like a small child that knows you might not be able to make everything better, but it is possible to just listen, think further on why it is so scary and to then make it clear that I get what they're worried about and reassure them - whether that's asking for some help or taking a simple step to help the situation.
It's probably nothing new in psychology - but I tell you that it's been working.
I know I need to make some small changes in my life, change the story I tell myself constantly and take the pressure off.
Bad shit happens, no one can stop that - but sometimes just taking a step back and saying "Yep, that hurt" and finding something that is actually useful is better than fighting it.
Yesterday I had an extremely terrifying experience that was the pinch point of 8 months of absolute hell and today, I came to the conclusion that I need to take a break and start treating trauma like I would any other major injury.
When you prioritise yourself, you put other people's expectations and demands where they belong and more often than not - other people may do X and Y, but we're the ones who torture ourselves.
Dagenhammer87
Probably expect death by snu snu!
In doing so, I'd also have to keep my mouth shut about already having had the snip done - but I'm sure there's a few weeks of mileage in getting away with it 😂

Whilst a body like the NHS can't deny someone life saving care, they should be able to deny any other reason for visiting a medical service.
If you were abusive to someone working in a shop, they may issue a banning order - yet key public services are expected to have to put up with this kind of bullshit.
The idea that services are largely free at the point of use creates a mentality in the entitled people in society to feel like everyone else is beneath them.
It's got nothing to do with colour or creed, there's ignorance through all of them.
I wouldn't blame the NHS for going on strike (unless life or death) until the people at the top and the health secretary pull their fingers out and ensure the appropriate, long lasting measures are put in place to prevent this.
Dagenhammer87
No.
At 39 (been with my wife for 18 years in total now), had 2 kids, bought a house/sold one and bought another etc. I'd say I've ticked off quite a bit of what we're somewhat expected to do in life (even if none of it ever interested me until I was 20).
Someone probably below the age of 30 (at a push) is still figuring it out, they've got all those things to do and pursue.
But I've already got the t-shirt and zero desire to do any of it over. There'd be no mystery, nothing to really explore (in those realms) and I had the snip at 31.
Nothing against people, I'm just far too battered and marked to have the desire to do it all over.

Going to the cinema has lost all of its appeal to me.
1) Give it a few months and the film will be on a streaming service. No need to travel, snacks are cheaper, you can pause at any time for a toilet break.
2) Some people now see the cinema as an extension of their living room. Looking at their phone throughout, incessantly talking and then leaving a mess because they don't have to worry about the cleanup.
One way of managing this (and it'll cost!) is to put an individual spotlight above every seat. If a phone screen is seen, people are being pains in the arse etc. light their seat up.
If people can't respect some really basic rules and display etiquette, let them be the subject of attention for a few moments.
Shame is a terrible thing... But in many ways, it encourages core standards and principles and if people can't behave - let them be seen and made to feel like the knob heads they are.
I would also put all cinema tickets online (or requiring an account that the ticket is booked in at the cinema) and print the seat details on the products they sell.
Those who can't seem to find the sense to put their rubbish in the bin can be sent a cleaning fee in the post.
CCTV in cinemas is a lot more advanced now, especially with infrared and that will make tracing people who can't behave easier by suspending or banning persistent idiots from being able to book or attend.

The failing school system is to blame for this - a lack of SEND provisions (at government funding level) will typically result in there being more than just one kid with additional needs in a class who ends up triggering/getting triggered by others.
Teaching must be like herding cats before these additional issues come to the fore and while it isn't excusable - frustrations that aren't addressed over a very long period may occasionally end with "Just get on with it."
We all want schools to be safe, but at the same time (and from experience); not everything can be resolved just with "Be kind."
Let's face it, life is a continuation of the playground.
Kids nowadays are taught to be ashamed of challenging feelings like anger and it's no surprise when some grow to either become repressed adults with mental health issues or violent thugs (because there's no authority there to set the rules and to keep an eye on things).
All schools should have self defence (and assertiveness training) in the curriculum. Teach and encourage self discipline, respect for themselves and others and FFS give kids a safe, viable outlet for their angst and anger.
Being a hormonal teenager is difficult for everyone, but if you keep bottling things up in the insane pursuit of always being nice... Someone will eventually snap.
I would probably hazard a guess that engaging activities would help reduce bullying (because kids get a chance to develop some inner steel) and the ones with additional needs will have somewhere to put that extra energy - and probably would be less challenging in the classroom and at home.
The pendulum has swung too far again.
Aggression is built into each of us. We can't run from it, but if it is properly guided and channeled correctly, I would hazard that society as a whole over a few years would result in less people being offended (for being offended's sake), less people wandering around like prey for society's predators and finally - not being scared of getting hit and therefore less likely to resort to carrying weapons because they're petrified something will happen to them and they lack any skills to actually fight without them.

Streets of Rage.
That'd look good as an expansive, open world game and would make it fit for the modern consoles.
I'd also like it if they did what they did with Alex the Kidd on the Switch. Hit the right trigger button and it takes the game back to it's original graphics and music and you can toggle.
That's the best of both worlds.
