These and the dragon shield boxes make good spacers in my bulk drawers so I like to have them. Eventually they’ll make their way up to the display shelves with the bundle boxes but space is kind of premium on those at the moment

I am perpetually nervous to share things on Reddit about people who could potentially find it, but heck, let’s hit some of the highlights:

• Ultimately this guys first marriage ended after she caught him cheating on her for what she believed to be the third time. It was actually north of the 20th time.

• “ended” might be a strong word for what happened there, because what actually happened was he wouldn’t go to get the papers signed until several months and internet dates later had produced his current wife, who he managed to impregnate on their first date.

• ex wife still lives in the house with them. He confided in me during the previously mentioned disaster that he was trying to get her to leave. They are joint owners of this house, which is listed for sale as per the divorce agreement, and he has zero intention of moving out of the house let alone giving her any money from it.

• the 16 year old that lives with them and does the lions share of the child care came to live with them because of an incredibly violent incident between her mother and great uncle. She actually had an infant sibling, but that sibling (I think) was removed to foster care because this guy and his new wife, who was pregnant, “couldn’t take care of a baby right now”. I think that child is still in foster care now, which is insane because:

• the mom of the 16 year old came to live with them when she was released from jail! She helps with the child care now (supposedly?) and let me tell you my jaw dropped when this guy was telling me this with some kind of pride? Like, he has so many women here to watch his kid? But also doesn’t care that one of them has a history of violence against a family member???

• I did rip into this man shortly after the baby was born, since he was complaining to me that he wasn’t sure how to change baby’s diaper and mom was downstairs cleaning the dishes he had “cleaned” instead of helping him upstairs with the diapers. She was THREE DAYS postpartum and exhausted having to navigate the stairs and probably having to clean up after dad as well. Weaponized incompetence is his preferred game.

• during the mentioned meeting I had with them they had actually managed to forget the diaper bag in a city that was about an hour from their home. He spends 30 minutes running to the nearest grocery store and during that time managed to grab the wrong formula bottles and did not get baby wipes, so wife, baby, and teen all had to also go to the grocery store once he got back.

• later at the restaurant we went to: the place was buffet style and wife was at the buffet getting food for herself when this baby craps his pants. Guy is insisting he can’t take the baby to change him because they don’t have some special changing pad so he’ll just make a mess, but wife knows how to change him without the pad and without covering her baby in his own crap.

• guy and wife were also laughing while telling me that bays favorite activity was to watch music videos where there are pretty girls shaking their asses. This bay is 5 months old.

• I hope this one is a joke, but these two have actually purchased concert tickets for a popular female artist and plan on bringing the baby “so he can see his crush in person”. I don’t want to give too much away, but think Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and artists like that. I hope like hell that if they actually go through with it they get called out harshly for bringing a baby to a show like that.

• wife is pregnant again last I heard. Guy had been saying that he wanted as many kids as possible and was actually hoping for Irish twins. They’re both in their mid 30s and she has a history of either endometriosis or pcos, I don’t actually remember which.

Ugh. I need a shower. There’s actually more of you want to hear about how terrible he was pre-divorce, but I feel this is enough to get a good picture of this guy. He’s fun and charming and very personable to new people and casual friends, but once you see him for the things he does that image just rots.

The wife’s niece that they kind of gained custody over while wife was pregnant and have since parentified heavily. The whole situation is a mess that belongs on trashy reality tv and could go on for 3 seasons, it’s so bad and there’s so much

Met a friend who I hadn’t really seen since before he had his first kid (messy af, but that’s a different story), baby was 5 months old. At the end of what was admittedly a really painful social interaction with him, his fresh wife, this baby, and the 16 year old who lives with them and takes care of the baby, it ends up being just me and him pushing the stroller to the car and I say I’m just going to say goodbye and head out after he puts the baby in the car seat. This sad excuse of a man goes “oh, I don’t know how to do that”

Your bay is FIVE MONTHS OLD, the hell do you mean you don’t know how to put him in a CAR SEAT? Gross. Embarrassing. I talked him through it, said my goodbyes, and have been ignoring this man’s messages ever since.

I am always excited for more saprolings and fungus. They’re fun little guys and a really good representation of green/black as a concept, but noooo, WOTC has it in their brains that that color combo is best represented by elves. Growth from decay? Nope, have some more elves

The holes are quite noticeable. Also you would have to leave the jewelry in place for some time to allow for healing, or else it would close up anyway (and likely still leave a scar of a hole)

YTA for bringing a dog with behavioral issues to work and expecting coworkers to work around a dog that is causing problems.

There is a plethora of websites available with deck lists, recommendations, and general card databases you can sort through to assemble a deck that you want to play. Here are some common favorites:

This one is geared toward commander specifically, so if that isn’t the format you’re wanting to play you can skip this one. Also be aware that the way edhrec makes suggestions is to examine a database of deck lists and suggest the most common inclusions. Not a terrible starting point, but not always the most reliable or creative tool.

Everyone has their favorite website for maintaining their deck lists and card collections and this one is mine. It takes some fiddling with to get it down and there’s some features I wish it had, but you can look through deck lists for just about any format and build and edit them yourself from here. This one stays open constantly on all my devices, sometimes just to browse what other people are doing and get inspiration from there. Other popular sites/apps that do similar things are Moxfield and ManaBox

Take this one with a grain of salt (hah) and again ignore if you aren’t doing commander. This is a more advanced tool that rates your deck and can suggest changes. I like that this one has more detailed ratings for a deck list than archidekt as well as a searchable deck database that has all of those breakdowns over the notoriously arbitrary bracket system. It will also make suggestions to make changes, just be aware that this website is kind of designed to hurt your feelings and laugh about your deck budget if you are just a casual player

My first piercing as an adult was a triple helix. Get yourself a piercing pillow ahead of time and be prepared to baby that ear for a few months, because tweaking or thumping a fresh helix piercing (let alone 3) on accident will knock all the breath out of you. It is shockingly painful.

I didn’t find the poking itself to be bad at all, though I went back recently for another double and those hurt more even though they were down lower on a fleshier part of my ear? I think it’s because the first piercer had me lay on my side while the second had me sit up straight, but I digress. I went with getting as many done at once as I thought I could handle since I knew I was going to want more and didn’t want to limp along healing one at a time for some crazy long time. A friend got a single helix shortly after my triple and while she didn’t love the healing process either it sounded like healing one and healing 3 was pretty similar.

Will also note that sadly at one point about 4 months after getting my triple I lost one of the studs in my ear (i was messing with it, don’t do that) and didn’t get a replacement in before it closed up. I have 4 now and they are so pretty and I love them

So this actually looks a lot like how mine came out. I thought the shallow one would give me problems, but it’s actually been the deeper one that is causing me agitation a year later because it’s low and pretty flush with/pressed into the areola constantly. Idk what’s going on or if I’m an outlier here to be fair, but the shallower one hasn’t given me a single problem. Yours appears to have plenty of room above and below and really only looks shallow in comparison to the other side

If there is a commander deck (and I personally believe there will be) then it would make extra sense if cards from this specific drop could be used to swap out or improve that deck

I also got a double helix yesterday in addition to the two I already had before. My piercer used 8mm flat back studs and said I could come in and get them replaced if I needed them bigger to accommodate any swelling, but the ones I’ve had in forever are also that size and I don’t feel the need to replace them with anything more snug, personally. What size studs do you have in now?

Everything either goes in the deck, a binder, or the drawers. The drawers are organized by color and then alphabet within that color while the binders are by set or for trade/showing off

I’m betting on a kpop demon hunters deck. We know they have more in the works for that property and it doesn’t make sense to have one rogue lair if they were planning on a super drop, so I think a whole deck is more likely

Having worked closely with tigers in the past I can answer this with complete confidence and authority:

Yes, but probably not on purpose.

Big cats are strong. All cats kind of lean towards rough play, but there’s a big difference between a 10 pound cat grabbing your hand and giving you a few kicks and chomps and a 400 pound tiger doing exactly the same thing. Would your cat kill you on purpose because they thought you were prey? Unlikely, I actually really doubt most house cats even kill bugs or other pests on purpose as much as they just play with it until it stops playing back. But you would still be dead, and the food bowl would be empty, so cats gonna cat.

I’m still staring at the numbers and trying to sort how I want to organize my set binder for this one. I got one of the 12 slot binders to do it with (separate gripe: the ultimate guard 12 slot zipper binders have the art sized and oriented in such a way that the characters are badly off center and it looks so weird) but all the different arts and rarities don’t fit neatly onto 12/24 slot spreads. I’ve been trying to make the math work and it simply will not, so I’m not sure how to organize these cards

I got the opposite. My he-man lair has a shipping confirmation and (useless) tracking number but my odds and ends deck still says in preparation. I was hoping someone who ordered both would say if they also got confirmation of both but everyone I’ve managed to talk to says they either only got one confirmation or not any

Well if you have two draft night boxes and only six people that means there are two collectors and 6 packs up for grabs, so you can get creative with the prizes.

As for how to set up the brackets, I would personally do either first to 3 wins or a kind of round robin setup where everyone plays as many people as you have time for (wins and losses not factoring into the pairings) and the top players get the top prizes depending on how much time you have. You have an even number of people so no one should have to sit out a round, you just won’t be able to do typical winner and loser brackets

The company I work for has warehouses and some manufacturers we work with in Canada and ALL DAMN DAY I am dealing with salesmen whining at me because their customers are whining to them asking where their crap is. I don’t know. I have absolutely no idea. Tracking on product coming from Canada hasn’t worked since shortly after Trump got in office and the lead time is at least 10 days from whenever we get a shipping confirmation.

I got shipping notification on the masters of the universe set, but odds and ends still shows “in preparation”. Interesting, it had looked like it implied they would ship together

I play mtg and a new set came out last weekend and also a new special deck was released yesterday and no one needs to know how badly I hemorrhaged money over the last 4 days. In theory the cards are worth about what I spent on them, but in practice I am not selling them so that doesn’t matter at all.

One of these days my initial wait time will be something reasonable and allow me to get one of the first group of printings.

It wasn’t today, though. Wait time over an hour, which gives me plenty of time to debate if I actually want to wait until July to have this deck

Update: I was able to get in and purchase the deck and got the initial shipment at about 9:40. Don’t give up hope!

Frankly the value of the cards last night doesn’t mean anything. The initial scans of what I opened yesterday was like 760 dollars and it’s not a quarter that this morning, first day prerelease pricing is basically worthless.

Flickering hound is a fantastic card that will be in high demand and will probably rise a lot in value once this set ages, but it’s a rare and Konstrari is a mythic. If you plan on buying any more packs you are a good deal more likely to pull another hound than any of the sphynxs. Besides that, if you’re happy than who cares what others think of your arbitrary trade value?

Noticed yesterday when I put it on the collection shelves. I don’t mind the design, I just don’t like that it doesn’t match the rest on the shelves
