Long ago, I was a software engineer. Looong ago.

I switched to a related career (which I still practice quite a bit) so I have lots of specific acquired knowledge in my field, that “the kids” don’t, and may never get.

So, with the dawn of ai assisted coding (“vibe coding”) I’ve re- learned how to make software that encapsulates that knowledge for the kiddies in my industry.

Will it be of value for long? I don’t know. But it’s fun, engaging and challenging. Recommended.

Was acquaintances with an early MacArthur fellow. Both he and his wife were both exceptionally smart. He was quite a pleasure to hang out with.

His body of work- both theoretical and executed- was clearly indicative of his genius.

I think your weight fluctuates in part because of water. If you’re dehydrated, you’ll weigh less.
