But do you have a BA in bread history?

DatCheeseBoi

I reckon something like this is the future of ascending shit to orbit.

DatCheeseBoi

Not necessarily, there's this guy on YouTube that shows methods to optimise games, and though some of them are about his hyper optimised engine a ton of them can be applied in general, basically controlling what you render, where you render it, and how. Highly recommend if you're interested in the topic.

I think most of us Slavs do. Although we call the cops "hairy" not dogs.

DatCheeseBoi

I think the first three panels are the original, a sad story of her dying. Then the fourth is someone adding a grave buster from PvZ because it's ridiculous.

DatCheeseBoi

Parents should be liable for everyone's tickets. BROTHER JUST SIT YOUR LITTLE BRAT DOWN AND BELT HIS ASS, HE'S A SMALL CHILD, I DON'T CARE HOW OUT OF SHAPE YOU ARE, YOU CAN OVERPOWER HIM.

DatCheeseBoi

My goofy ass would think I measured wrong, but I've gotta be in the right ballpark.

DatCheeseBoi

He's a time traveller, duh, obviously.

DatCheeseBoi

There's always that one family member who can't keep a secret, so instead you tell them something you want people to know without you telling everyone, and ask them to keep it a secret. I miss you grandma.

People in the comments acting like we a) don't joke about all sorts of fucked up things, and b) don't know why we are more likely to make this joke if it's a male victim. What happened to that guy is terrible, we are all aware, that doesn't mean people aren't going to make fun of it. To quote Bo Burnham "The holocaust and 9/11, that shit's funny 24/7!"

DatCheeseBoi

I think it's a really silly accident. YouTubers and other influencers do not wish to be seen as lesser by an algorithm that judges your advertiser safetiness, so they use words like unalive or grape to not ruin their defacto livelihood even if they mention difficult topics. Then their viewers hear it, and start using it without understanding why it is that way, it's just the new thing I guess. Then those of us who thought about it for two seconds become the angry loud minority because it's very annoying to see normal people that don't make money on the internet.

Mad Max Fury Road. When our set-top-box gave out, this was the only movie we had on the USB. Turns out it's still really good after you've seen it 18 times.

The USSR was ridiculously authoritarian, I live in a country that was a segment of the iron courtain, and everyone who lived in that era knows at least through acquaintance some poor sod that tried to escape and got shot. Hell in some regions in eastern Germany they got even smarter, they made a fake border kilometers before the real one, and would basically have a fake US officer question you on the other side just to then use it in trial against you. Speaking out against the government was punishable by law. In my country the communist party was elected democratically, and the first thing they did was making all the other parties illegal. Also speaking out against the government, and trying to escape (whether you succeed or not) would get your family kinda bricked. No promotions, no trust, no further social climb possible, in many cases direct surveillance though not in all, there were only so many surveillance people so they had to pick and choose targets carefully.

The USSR did technically genocide Ukrainians, the thing where you might be getting confused is it wasn't intentional, rather a result of incompetence and logistics inefficiency. Ironically the Ukrainians were producing a shit ton of food, but because of point 1 most wouldn't dare speak out as too much of it was taken and they starved. The few that did would, of course, be imprisoned. Many people starved to death or had to resort to cannibalism to survive, they don't call it hladomor - plague of hunger - for nothing.

The USSR was to a great extent Russian supremacist, morally in schools especially Russia was instilled as this amazing best in the world nation, the heroes we should all aspire to be like. The best way to climb in the party was sucking up to comrades from Moscow. That's a good point to add, it wasn't as Russia centric as it was Moscow centric, similar to today's Russia. Are you aware of how mistreated Siberians feel by Moscow? Because they get juiced for work and resources, sent to war they didn't want, and get minimum of governments resources in return? That's kinda what the USSR was like on a grander scale.

Now on the poor factor I have to sorta agree with you. People of the USSR may have been poor in comparison to western people, but what we had was usually enough to live more comfortably than most people anywhere live nowadays. This was mainly because having a job was mandatory, and that job would pay you enough to afford your own living, a car, and the occasional vacation. This part is the allure of the old regime, the reason why many people from that generation say that life was better back then.

The USA as it is today sucks ass to live in, EU on the other hand? I mean, it's not perfect, but it's far from bad, pretty alright even. Many socialist policies that genuinely help people. Or at least are directed to it, corrupt officials can be creative it's nigh impossible to entirely prevent some fund misappropriation. But honestly even in that regard the EU has been tightening. On the other hand the USSR gave you certainty of job and basic living standards in return for no religious freedom, no freedom of opinion if your opinion didn't match what the party wants, and people were still led by a select few that were well connected and high ranking. I can't speak for others, but now that the dust has settled from the fall of the Union, life is objectively better here than it would be with them in charge. The first years were shaky though, switching from preplanned economy to the open market was very much throw them in the pool and see if they can swim. Funnily enough it's what broke the unions back, opening up more to the foreign market.

Fuck this fucking place, and fuck me for coming here for another fucking shift.

For those who are wondering the right way to do it is really intensely, and why people don't trust a professional is because what they see is you absolutely devastating that tree, and because the tree was never trimmed before this year it'll have absolutely shitty fruit yield, so they don't hire you again, and next year, (thanks to the trimming you did, but they don't know that) it's gonna have a shit ton of fruit, and then they'll go back to living their lives with untrimmed trees and average yields. However if they have you trim it again or learn to do it themselves they'll keep having improved yields all the time.

DatCheeseBoi

How to trim trees and why people don't trust professionals to do it.

I used to be like you when I was younger, but that's why I've grown to respect them. A simple task: kill them all, turned into weeks of struggle, a man with a knife against an endlessly regenerating horde. If you cut it out deep, after the third time it might not sprout again, but if your cut into the root is shallow they'll recover five times and keep living. Add to that how they will grow in practically any conditions, and are edible, not just to livestock, but us too, and over the years the dandelion has gone from a hated foe to my favourite plant in the garden.

Catholics often made compromises to convert large non-christian populations. Jesus wasn't born on Christmas, capybara is a mammal, and fish is meat mind you. That doesn't mean the church sees any of it that way.

DatCheeseBoi

As in using electricity to boil water into steam and run a turbine?

DatCheeseBoi

It's a reference to how toddlers have no filter for how to treat different people so their first instinct is to point, and either question the person directly or their parent about why they look different/are on a wheelchair/etc...

I'm thinking the point of the joke is that they're all friends and happy, and the musculature is just a side effect of it being AI generated. Most men by the pool are shirtless. Most shirtless man pics online are muscular. "Generate all the main guys from Breaking Bad grilling together by the pool." and the AI just works based on the data it's been trained on.

DatCheeseBoi

One of them means it from the perspective of the guy. The other from the perspective of the girl. Which is which depends on whoever is the author, there are no clues to let us know.

DatCheeseBoi

When I drive home after my night shifts I'm not the most attentionate driver, but this one time there was a car driving in front of me that was moving at the exact same speed as me, and because of our lights my eyes weren't adjusted for the darkness, so I had the illusion of a static image for maybe five minutes, and I had to slap myself not to fall asleep.

That's a long way to say that you're more than spot on.

DatCheeseBoi

Civil engineers have to design roads so that drivers don't die on them, that's why they'd know that this one is pretty dangerous.

DatCheeseBoi

Basically despite what you might think, helicopters can glide down safely with most mechanical failures, however if this part goes, you're on a quick way to meet Jesus.
