No. Just looked online at average attendances, suggested 12.5% increase last season.
DaveDoesData
Not for me. I love what they stand for, met someone who is quite involved in the club through work and had a great conversation about them, inspiring stuff.
Don’t believe they’ve had a huge increase, although saying that average attendance was up last season.
DaveDoesData
The Glazers.
DaveDoesData
Decency and old fashioned values are not terms that spring to mind when thinking about the Glazers.
DaveDoesData
Can’t disagree with points on Carrick, however I’d give any manager a couple of seasons with that board and the spineless shower of players we have and I don’t think they’d do much better.
DaveDoesData
FFS
DaveDoesData
Very good.
One of the best passers of the ball we’ve ever had, very intelligent player, always played in a very composed manner.
DaveDoesData
Nonsense. They weren’t expecting failure, they hoped to god they could somehow avoid it spending as little as possible and scrape through this season.
DaveDoesData
I feel for Carrick, clear he was out of his depth but with no support from the shite above him and having a team that can’t be arsed it’s an impossible position.
DaveDoesData
Probably not a forgotten lad but for me, Les Sealey RIP
The 1990 cup final is still my favourite ever game, Leighton had a mare and got dropped for the replay, in comes Les who played a blinder. Shout to Lee Martin for the goal too actually.

Wilcox is a big reason, there’s a feeling that in Howe we just get a yes man for the board and we all know how competent they are. Managing Utd is a big task, at any time let alone now so you can understand a lot of the doubts based on his previous teams.
But I also think a lot of the fans, myself included, are at the point where we couldn’t care less who comes in. I don’t see how any manager comes in and spins all of the necessary plates; the players aren’t good enough, the mentality is there, the squad depth is laughable, a useless board above, no defined play style…the list just goes on and on.
DaveDoesData
It’s a very long winded problem that started when the Glazers took over the club. The horrific mismanagement of the club ever since they arrived all whilst they have been lining their own pockets. This is the very root of the problem.
And whilst the owners and board are our biggest fundamental problem it also shouldn’t distract from the tactical horror show we’ve seen and the complete lack of effort shown by the majority of players last night. They were an absolute disgrace.
But unfortunately all roads still lead upwards. A good football club has an aligned direction; one that’s provided and backed by the board, a competent director of football and implemented on the pitch by the right coach and the right squad players, all working in unison.
Right now, we don’t have any of that.
And it gets worse, because we try to fix one area at a time we then expose another so we go round and round in circles until something gives, normally the manager, and then we start all over again.
Now I’m not excusing the players, like I said they were an absolute disgrace and they’ve done this plenty of times before but nothing will get fixed properly until the we have the right people who will put the club first.
DaveDoesData
Tactically inept, that’s putting it lightly. Horrific squad depth too. Can’t argue with that.
But that shower of shite on the pitch last night need to take a good look at themselves because strolling around the pitch when you’re 2, 3 even 4 goals down is a disgrace to the jersey.
A couple of players aside there’s not an ounce of mental toughness or competitiveness between them. Tactics were badly wrong, yet again and there’s no excuse for that but the 11 on the pitch could and should have at least made a game of it but they didn’t. They gave up, fancied a kick about for a bit and to go home and put their feet up.
We can quite rightly blame the board, the lack of signings and tactics - 100% but nobody can excuse the complete lack of effort.

Base Pele early on in the last game. Best tradable was a TOTS Vini which went for 1.6m I think back in 24

In terms of creating chances, arguably better than a lot of games this season. In terms of everything else, same old really.
I did think we settled into the game quite well after conceding so early and for a while thought we were going to grab an equaliser.
Defensively though all over the place. Madrid worked out from the off that they could just dink a ball over the top and it would cause absolute chaos for us, which it did, time and time again.
Bruno on the right should never happen. Seems a horrible compromise just to get tielmanns at 10 and neither worked out. Mbeumo in the middle worked for me, put in a good shift and was unlucky with a great chance. Rashford largely anonymous, started to make petty fouls which wasn’t good.
Baleba impressed me, Santos yet again didn’t.
Nothing good to say about any of the back four. Heaven at LB can excuse but they just looked so disorganised.
DaveDoesData
We’re at a funny stage already where a good result means we can kick on a bit, a bad one potentially the opposite.
But it’s Spurs at OT and it’s a big opportunity to get going. I think whatever front 3 we play we have the firepower to cause them a lot of problems. I think the lads will be itching to prove a point (or 3 hopefully) and spurs have looked dreadful.
Totally get the lack of confidence, can’t blame anyone but this game is as good as any to put in a cracker of a performance.
DaveDoesData
I know it’s very theoretical, but there’s more than potential harm at stake. He isn’t a well man, watching Utd isn’t the healthiest past time let alone having some form of responsibility.
DaveDoesData
Absolutely not, let him rest up!
DaveDoesData
As others have said, Adrian Welch - no better in Donny tbh.
DaveDoesData
You’d think composure would improve at 2-0 but we seemingly lost the plot in every area. Brightons pressing is impressive but we just turned to slop.
The worrying thing for me is if we go into our shells 2nd half, big team talk needed from Carrick. That said, we are a good countering team and if our midfield could just get a grip I’d hope for some goals.
DaveDoesData
Pique and Rossi, joined at roughly the same time I think.
DaveDoesData
A bit disappointed to see such a huge prospect just walk out but if his head has been turned, fine with that. I’m sure his old man has been in his ear, you just don’t know, we might have dodged a bullet in the long run.
DaveDoesData
That’s really useful - thank you!
DaveDoesData
Yes, 2026.
Enjoy!
