Your very first sentence is disappointment. 2nd one starts off as pragmatic and ends in a backhanded compliment.

1st sentence is a basic platitude with some longing hopefulness at the beginning. 2nd sentence is a dismissal. 3rd sentence starts off saying the 2nd sentence wasn't a dismissal, then slides into another false platitude, does a hard transition into more "conversation" disappointment and ends in false accusations that aren't backed up by any facts or by any examples.

You left out the Far Left moving farther left to the Extreme Left and you attributed the Far Right moving to the Extreme Right to the majority of the Right.

Decrease spending. Cut out the things that aren't necessary. The budget doesn't have to stay the same if revenue decreases.

Look at NYC. The budget was something like $112 billion a year. The new mayor instituted multiple new social programs and now the budget is 127 billion. So he has to raid the retirement fund for city employees and the "rainy day" fund or raise NYC 's or raise property taxes another 10%. That's a $15,000,000,000 increase.

If I had to pay that myself and I made a 100k a year, it would take me 150,000 years to save up that amount of money. That's before taxes and without ever spending a nickel of it.
