Just for fun I didn't think it was possible for death to be the "mystery gift" ;( lol

Chose: Mystery Box | Rolled: Death

No, not at all. His historical facts are (usually) not completely wrong - a kernel of truth is trapped within a mountain of ideological bias. The whole thesis around the great Hindu-Muslim war and the way in which he insists on Indian nationalism going back thousands of years (when it actually originated in the 19th century) lead to cherry-picking and distortions which make the work well-nigh unusable.

I have 88 dwarves in a settlement and currently we are in a massive war against a human civilization, so i have 40 army and if you count the guard squad it is 45. The army is pretty essential to the survival of my fortress, we have already fought like 3 major battles right in front of my fort and several sieges along with a few raids on other cities.

Okay, I fixed the source and it's now back online (and also improved with hardware acceleration)!

Yes, sorry but there have been major issues with the github repo and I had to take it down, but the game itself is still available on itch.io. Thank you for you feedback!

Thank you, i'm glad you liked it!

No, it only works on a desktop.

I was probably not thinking much about it at the time, I spent several hours a day sometimes late into the night for 3 days to make this (it was intended for a game jam as mentioned in the post) and committing changes properly didn't seem very important. In my longer-term (private repository) projects I do write meaningful commit messages, but yeah I should probably do that for game jams too.

Edit: And please do try out the project sometime, it's always helpful to learn people's opinions of it and reports on bugs. I hope you enjoy the game!

pygbag, of course. I think I remember mentioning this in the comments in your game technoracer too (my itch is two119). But when I tried to build dynasty for web it gave a bunch of weird javascript runtime errors and crashed, which I don't understand the cause of since pygbag has never crashed like that before for me.

I probably would have added art to it, but this was made for a game jam (Scorespace #24). I couldn't submit it on time, but I did finish the simulation mechanics. Maybe I'll add art sometime in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: The idea about using colour to indicate traits is interesting and probably better than indicating it with size or text as I did, but it would have to be implemented kind of weirdly in my game to avoid the herbivores looking like predators or food, nevertheless I probably should try something like that anyways to make the simulation more visual. Good suggestion there!

I used randomly tweaked variables for the evolution to simulate mutations, and yes I packaged it with pyinstaller - I originally wanted to make it for web, but I wasn't able to due to some weird javascript number error. Thank you for the feedback!
