Ive always loved crunchy ""retro"" style indie games but it aint even nostalgia for me, just like the style.
I didn't grow up with those games.

idk the joke or what anyones on about but for actual game recommendations i seriously recommend Look Outside, its a more standard RPG in terms of mechanics, no bullet hell fights or anything but the story, setting and characters are amazing, the soundtrack is amazing, and the monster design and pixelart is amazing.

One of these days i wanna try and make a proper full english breakfast because they can often look pretty damn good [though i have seen plenty that look awful]

Ive been playin a LOT of really sick indie games and all of them are very different from one another, and only one of them recently is considered a roguelike!

Currently been using standard climber left hand with prosthetic right hand, colored to be a slightly desaturated blue.

Very simple, but i like there being a bit of asymmetry, plus it gives the a bit more character.

Still stupid how poorly optimized minecraft is for lower PCs though, i cant really excuse that. Older versions run perfectly fine, the game just keeps getting more and more performance heavy.

To answer other question, i usually try running minecraft at a standard 12 chunk rendering distance.

Nah i have an actual graphics card, my issue is that i have a very old on its last legs motherboard and CPU, games like minecraft are very CPU intense.

Most other games i tend to play run just fine, mostly.. as long as its not Unreal Engine or something AAA

Idk man the game runs like ass without performance mods on my end. Only time it ever feels somewhat stable is when i stand still and dont generate new chunks, and even then it still has stutters.

Not everyone can afford decent PCs, especially with how AI is ruining costs.
