Checked it out yesterday! Really cool!!

DeepInThought1994

I was there yesterday and was really surprised! Nice court, good players and an overall nice vibe. Thanks for the tip!

That dude is a mass murder - responsible for the death of many, many people by cutting of USaid from essentially one day to the next.

It has given me a sense of peace and security in difficult circumstances. It has also helped me in centering myself and not to get lost in everything that is happening.

DeepInThought1994

Thanks a lot!

Maybe he is just washed :( He has always seemed a little more ‚fragile‘ than some of the other guards

DeepInThought1994

Hmm. Have you tried stillness or explored the mystics? Line Theresia of Avila or Johannes Tauler or Thomas Keating or Thomas Merton for some more current ones?

If you truly believe we are our brains then you not only reduce the value of human life, but you also, it sounds like, imply biological determinism which absolves criminals like Putin of all their wrongdoing, as it is merely their ‚brain‘ that made them do what they do.

Your „all the evidence“-claim is also not true. What do you accept as evidence? You can ‚observe‘ non-physical phenomena like your thoughts, feelings and emotions - not with your eye. If these are mere physical phenomena in disguise, how do you make sense of consciousness?

I think that Faith, is, in a way, an ancient response in light of the absurdity of existence. It is a choice as much as something ‚given‘ It is neither unreasonable nor reasonable, as there are good arguments either way, but it seeks to affirm that there is meaning and justice in light of apparent chaos. I, for one, chose to set a ‚wager‘ on God, although I believe it is important to steer clear of fundamentalism.

Thank you

It can propel people towards the peaks of human goodness, like MLK and Ghandi, who were both deeply devout, or be used to manipulate and scam people like current governments. Actually always when it is tied to politics…

DeepInThought1994

Well, the idea of karma in all its variations does not contain only this lived existence, doesn’t it?

DeepInThought1994

Near-death experiences? I do think it makes sense to think of them of separately, yet intricately intervowen entities.

DeepInThought1994

That’s not the truth. The truth is we don’t know.

DeepInThought1994

Bist du selber Berliner? Ansonsten solltest du dir solche Einschätzungen verbitten - das würde ich über deine Stadt ja auch nicht machen. Der Wert dieses Feldes für die Stadt ist nur schwer mit Zahlen zu bemessen.

DeepInThought1994

Als ob das reichen würde…
