Definitely have a few to add in there (Massdrop, Protozoa, etc), just wish I was a better writer.

DemandCommonSense

Better than the other way around.

Eh, there are definitely mechanical keyboards in the $30 range. Not great ones but they work (ie Leobog Hi75, Ajazz has some stuff, etc).

DemandCommonSense

All of their clothes are also weird cuts. Nothing I've ever bought from there has ever fit like normal clothes from actual clothing stores.

DemandCommonSense

How's the texture? Your pic look rather smooth but I see product pictures online that appear to have some grit.

Weikav Nut75, Monsgeek M1 V5, a few Keychrons, and a bunch of the more budget-oriented options. It looks like you're aiming to step up to something nicer. But yeah, very few of non-gamer boards have knobs. Most of us re-assign existing buttons for volume control.

DemandCommonSense

That's not a hot take.

DemandCommonSense

I mean, it shouldn't be like half of your switches but they have definitely been known for over/inconsistent lubing.

DemandCommonSense

All of the heavy silent options are older ones unfortunately. Silent Alpacas, Silent Inks, etc. The only heavy tactile I've run into is the Kinetics Lab Turtle, but that's an older switch as well.

If you're open to spring swapping the world is your oyster though.

The volume knob and macro keys requests would put what you're looking at more in the gaming keyboard arena rather than more enthusiast oriented options that people will recommend in here. There are a small handful with knobs or dials, but extra macro keys would push out basically everything other than gaming boards.

Normal for Gateron.

DemandCommonSense

I'd be in for a .32 drum.

DemandCommonSense

You don't want this. Limited switch compatibility and low QC.

DemandCommonSense

Great switches, though discontinued and not the silent switches OP wanted.

DemandCommonSense

Agreed, though they really need to be lubed and filmed. Doing so takes them from a B-tier switch to an S-tier.

Lately I've been liking HMX Bumble Bees, but big shout out for spring swapped HMX Blue Stars and HMX Hades V2. Punkshoo Melody Reduxes would be on my recommend list but they don't seem to taking well to age.

DemandCommonSense

It will be before that. It will be too warm for photosynthesis to occur in about a half billion years.

DemandCommonSense

Nope

DemandCommonSense

Silent? HMX Moonlights.

DemandCommonSense

Silver takes pretty much all colors pretty well. I have 2 silver boards, one with Traitors Kabuki keycaps and the other with PBTFans Lokis.

In my personal experience the clips tend to be more fragile than other alternatives. But are you really going to be taking the PCB out that often?

DemandCommonSense

Instead of a socket that plugs in it's a clip that holds the contact points together.

Pretty sure zionists don't call netanyahu a piece of shit

Lol what? Even most Israelis will call him a piece of shit.

DemandCommonSense

BM60EC comes with an integrated knob. With most boards that do support rotary encoders, such as the other one I mentioned, you have to buy it separately and solder it on.

DemandCommonSense

Toolless as in the case uses ball-catch. The PCB attaches via ribbon cable.
