I just turned a corner behind a guy, 5 feet in front of me. I put every single round from my AK into him. He just turned around and killed me. It's fucking stupid. How it's not already nerf'd is absolutely baffling.
Deviltry
That may have been true for a period of time but that old 11.7 scholarship thing is gone.
Deviltry
This shouldn't even be a question. If they say no, just return the thing. Then when they refund you, go get the new one.

This is not about the translation, it's about how dumbed down and excuse driven most executives and leaders are.
Has nothing to do with trying to politic your way to the top and translating. I'm at the top in a multi-billion dollar firm. At this point I don't need to pretend it's anything other than lazy and/or dumb people who feign ignorance at every turn because they think it insulates them from any responsibility.
We have a massive responsibility issue in our culture, and it's gotten progressively worse over the past 20 years.
Deviltry
You have to sell your soul to the devil in order to try to force yourself to dumb every single thing down to a level you would expect a 3rd grader to understand. Then be disappointed that people will still say "you just talk too technical" because you said "phishing" in a sentence... but imagine that for everything.
Honest to god, AI is a blessing and a curse, but the average person is so fucking stupid that maybe it's for the better that general models make decisions for people now.
Deviltry
They should pay attention to how much audio and graphics suck first and foremost. Then maybe fix the auto-parachute disable not working for how many years/versions, and fix that too.
I swear to god this game is developed by a retarded set of monkeys who only know how to reskin the same junk over and over.
Deviltry
I don't know why you're being downvoted, this game clearly caters to rollers so much its insane. Even if it's well known, still shit on this company for the amount of aim assist. It's garbage.
Deviltry
That's because SFMC isn't Salesforce at all. It's exacttarget, and they were so confident they'd fuck it up if they touched it that they still haven't even changed the core domain from exacttarget after 13 years. Look at how much of a train wreck the new version (salesforce native) is. Just saying.

There are a lot of different types of organizations. Some handle little or no sensitive PII or NPI, while others operate in heavily regulated environments, like financial services with the SEC/FINRA/STATE bodies or healthcare under requirements like HIPAA/HITECH. So the extent to which data security affects AI adoption really depends on the data involved, the use case, and the regulatory obligations of the organization.
What's real scary is shadow IT in the world of AI. Everyone is violating the shit out of company policy in all firms using personal AI assistants, notetakers, or general chat tooling. Even when approved enterprise tools are available, a lot of employees deliberately use personal accounts because they don't want their employer seeing the routine questions, drafts, or work they're asking AI to handle. That makes this less of a tooling conversation and more of a governance, culture, monitoring, and user-adoption problem.
It's a massive gap, we are only just now starting to see the security ramifications and breaches as a result... It's going to get worse before it gets better.

My experience is that the scheduled meeting is usually less about developers needing a fixed time to report blockers and more about keeping the PM and BA layer on track, because candidly most PM's and BA's are absolutely terrible at their jobs and have no idea how anything works, and no capacity to actually figure it out and provide what I'd consider real value.
I’m a CTO, I've had both functions report to me, and I’ve done both jobs. Most of the communication problems I see come from PMs and BAs acting as a pass-through between the business and development. Someone asks a question, they forward it along without enough context or understanding, and it turns into a game of telephone.
AI is also changing that model. We’re moving toward a dev/FDE approach where developers join calls directly with business stakeholders when needed. With good meeting assistants and general AI tooling, we simply need fewer people whose primary function is scheduling meetings, taking notes, and relaying messages.
Strong technical PMs still provide real value. But the six-figure PM role that functions primarily as a glorified executive assistant is going to become much harder to justify. I can count on one hand the number of good technical PM's I've worked with, because ultimately if they were good they moved on to other higher paying roles.
Bottom line, like many other roles, the busywork-heavy frameworks surrounding project management are becoming obsolete. The tooling now exists for people closest to the work to handle communication, documentation, coordination, and follow-up without consuming all their productive time. Naturally, the closer communication and decision-making remain to the execution layer, the less context is lost and the better the outcome. SMB's are already evolving to this, and I know a bunch of F500's moving that direction just at a slower pace as you'd expect.

The world of script kiddies thinking they are now developers because they had a shart of an idea and asked claude code to "build it".
Junk, junk everywhere.

In 6-12 months idiotic company leadership is going to realize all these specialized "AI" titles they paid a ton of money for are were based on them knowing nothing about AI but how to spell it.
AI to most of them is simply ChatGPT/Claude/Co-Pilot and an imagination that things magically just go work like staff does. The reality being well documented processes, and KB's are what matter and then it's really no different than a new service existing dev teams learn to leverage during standard SDLC, automation and testing processes.
Unless your firm is in the business of generating their own models, you're taking a title that IMHO is going to be dumb and written off in a couple years. So, if you're willing to take that risk for short term gain, go for it. Otherwise, personally I'd go fight for an adjustment on the CISO salary to at minimum match that of a role that should be sitting well below it. That would be the better long term strategic play. Just my .02 cents.

This is what i did, with an xpon directly into my unifi gateway.

Am I the only one that thinks this was a terrible ad? Seems like standard voice support, but instead of basic back and forth it's filling any quarter second pause with "hmmmmmm" and "yeahhhhh" fillers, and going to just train people subconsciously to start overtalking anyone they are talking to mid-sentence.
Sincerely don't think this was ready to go, and this ad actually made me think they are grasping at straws for trinkets to market.

We were never going anywhere with Pulisic in the lineup. I don't know why anyone thinks that guy is a "star". He literally couldn't get two feet with the ball without turning it over. I get it if he's not 100%, then get him off the field. We had a lot of faults, but he basically had us playing man down.
Deviltry
I mean, their software is pretty solid. The hardware is 5-6 years late to the party.
Deviltry
We just global blacklist these morons at the mimecast layer the moment we see it. End their entire existence to our company and they'll never even know why nobody ever responds.
Deviltry
So... You're not the CISO. No kidding that helps with your mental load...

AI governance just like most things "AI" is basically marketing hype/expectation, just CYA policy docs for people who don't know what the term even means. For 99% of people, AI is just chatgpt/claude/grok/gemini. Meanwhile, every single app in the market at this point has been forced to launch some sort of AI tooling whether that's LLM or more explicit tooling like doc intel, transcribe, STT/TTS etc.
So, write a general AI use policy with your legal/privacy officer about only using company approved apps, and not using personal accounts etc for AI or otherwise. Then send all vendors and new features that require it through vendor review process. There is ultimately no zero sum game here for a CIO/CTO/CISO because every day new AI type features launch within the dozens if not hundreds of vendors already in your environment. Shitty firms like box.com constantly launch new features, and turn them on in your org with no notice. Or they wipe settings and reset to enable features that they are marketing.
Gone are the days of total captivity and control, now it's just policy and CYA for the most part. In my experience, most businesses are actively making the dumbest decisions possible to allow divisions to sign up for every mom and pop tool that advertises to an employee on facebook anyway. If you can be more restrictive than that, great. But having vendor review and policies gives you the documentation to point to this and your general DLP/Security tooling as you doing what you could.
Deviltry
That sounds like a place I'd be leaving. I realize not everyone can simply up and quit, but this one would be tempting.
Deviltry
This is marketing bullshit. Same dumb "we are so awesome its scary dangerous" marketing shit Anthropic has done every 3-6 months for the past couple years. People and media are just absolutely retarded and buy it. In 6 months this model will be looked at like it's just an old mopar car. I hate how much this dumb shit cycle has made me hate people in general.
Deviltry
You can now.
Deviltry
It's everywhere on reddit. Downside to AI being cheap and easy.
Deviltry
No accountability or repercussions in an org is far more likely than procurement being the problem IMHO. People will feign ignorance or come up with any stupid excuse (we need to move fast) to justify not following a process if allowed.
Cool, but that's only people that are lvl 93? Fuck that, I'm not 15 years old I have a job, they need to roll that shit back to make it available long before lvl 4 is in play.
