Perhaps because it's a bit early. The jobs have not disappeared yet. We still have truck drivers and people who stock shelves at Walmart and people who build houses and pave roads.

If we do UBI too early we run the risk of hyperinflation or a default on the debt, in my opinion.

Yes. My mom is/was a hoarder of animals, and she put them in a pen in the yard outside my room and they would make noises throughout the night. The time I confronted her about the animals, she cried/screamed and asked why I wasn't helping her with them. That, and I was on adderall coding to 2-3am every night to escape my situation. Then adderall in the morning to survive the day. My anxiety and my posture from being at the computer all the time made it difficult to breathe, a condition that nobody followed up on (though both my parents noticed at least once).

The breathing issues and sleep issues are still with me to this day, though I am getting a handle on them through various meditation, stretching, and rolling exercises.

I don't think I need it any more. Other things were in the way of my happiness and once those cleared up I didn't need karezza I guess. Been a journey since I wrote that :)
