What? Yaka cooked up a special secret cat-girl spell for you and you reject his brilliance?

How could you!

Dibbit3

I was going to say, “perfect post, no notes” but I don’t see no pirate hat on that maggot!

Dibbit3

It fits with him using his panda form just to chill, I feel he would also do that as a monkey.

A sheep would also kind of work, where he would just stand there, eating grass, protected from attacks by a thick bouncy coat of wool.

Dibbit3

Mocking Inquiry: You think this flattery will safe you from your inevitable destruction, meatbag?

Dibbit3

For a second I thought it was going to be a Right-to-left scroller and my heart couldn't take that kind of blasphemy.

Luckily, that was only for the start of the trailer, and all is well.

Looks a bit like.. Bonk and such, A Sega-ish vibe? Pretty cool.

Dibbit3

Ok, but then it’s a racial that requires the help of two private healers to be kinda good once at the start of a pull. And it has the potential to fail hilariously if one of them messes up, or ends up on the threat table before you’re able to do your warrior things.

That doesn’t sound too strong if the effect is “a somewhat better blood fury on a 50% longer cooldown, best usable before a pull”

It’s certainly a lot more situational and spicy then “orc now mad, orc press be mad button”

Dibbit3

To add one to your list: Shaman can get Improved Ghostwolf at level 16, but you only learn Ghostwolf at level 20

Dibbit3

Don't level as elemental, it's a miserable time.

But that's not really a Forever thing, that was the case in Vanilla too.

Elemental comes online above level 40, barely.

Forever made this worse (for every caster, btw) by really gutting the base damage of every spell you cast, it'll just take ages to take anything down. And then if you're a mage/warlock/priest you take out your wand and start pew-pewing. If you're elemental shaman, you take your spell damage dagger and shield, and slowly poke the mob to death, and you can't afford any shocks because frankly, they're horribly mana inefficient.

So, Level preferably as Enhance, or I guess you can go resto and be beloved by groups, and then later, MUCH later, switch to elemental, switching over your gear will be kind a hard though, but it's better then leveling in the worst way for 40+ levels.

Dibbit3

I'm pretty sure this is how it worked in Vanilla, right? When they redid the classes, you just got a onetime refund of everything.

A minor gripe, not worthy of being angry about, was that as enhance shaman, this would take away your 2 handed skill, as it was granted by a talent. This meant that you had to whack a boar for 20 minutes to get it back up to 300. I don't remember if it also unequipped your weapon, and if so, what would happen if your bags would've been full.

Dibbit3

I mean, you do pay a monthly subscription for it?

Dibbit3

Resto is pretty fun, it's all about making chain-heal go Bbrrr and dropping mana tide whenever the raid leader calls for it. And we now have a second button to press in Riptide, and that's like 100% more buttons to press for healing.

Enhance We'll need to see, it's a bit weird as it's currently quite strong at level 30, cause you just get windfury and can delete some fools... other shamans have calculated that it'll drop off hard though, so we'll see.

Also, I know you'll see a lot of shaman going "Let Me Tank, I can do it boss!".. that's just a dream, a dream that won't come true; the one thing shaman have for tanking is that they can generate single target threat like no-one else, but that doesn't make you a tank, it makes you a target.

Dibbit3

So, I know nothing about Druids, but just as an FYI: Shamans have had their fire nova damage "significantly reduced" including the spell coefficient.

It was probably too good, but its damage has easily halved now.

The "problem" is that chain lightning was already nerfed by over 75%.

So, shaman at the moment, are not great at AOE, so if that's important to the list, maybe don't count on them being a saviour for you.

I'm unsure about the new Elemental Mastery, as you can't play with it yet, but it removes the cooldown from Chain Lightning, and reduces the cast time of lightning bolt, two contrary things, and I don't know if just spamming chain lightning for 15 seconds every 3 minutes is viable, fun or if you even have the mana to do this.

"Big hitting Spells" is certainly not the direction Shaman is going, seems they're going for "a little pin-prick every 2s, forever".... and that's.. well.. it's not as fun as going BOOM-SHAKALAKA! once every 3 minutes to delete a mob or clothie in front of you.

Dibbit3

Mage: OOM, mana tide PLOX!

Dibbit3

Eehh.. if you don’t use a cryptographic secure random number generator then the seed of it will be the current time. Meaning it can be something as simple as using the wrong rnd() version.

Dibbit3

Not sure you’ll find many players on here. Obviously some devs here will like them and can answer, but that’s a rather limited pool.

They’re not my type of game, but it can be cathartic to being able to organise your virtual life, a bit of escapeism. Or perhaps it’s just the fun of a clear repetitive easy task with a satisfying end result?

Dibbit3

Absolutely, that first battle music IS Ranma for me! I personally also really like the YaPaPa season open

Edit: although I think the other battle theme was more common:

Kasumi when literally seeing Dr. Tofu turn into an lovestruck idiot whenever he notices her:

"Ooh, he's not into me, we're just good friends"

Dibbit3

While she definitely shares a single brain-cell along with all other cats, I feel Shampoo can be quite devious, and that's "kinda" like having a braincell?

Dibbit3

What's the link with Nestle? I get that it's an evil company, but it's

a) Swiss

b) Will be an evil company regardless of if the EU federalizes

c) Does not really benefit in any meaningful way of a more united Europe, and I doubt they're lobbying for it?

d) There are other big Evil European Companies, and I guess a more unified market helps them, but still, "don't work together because a big company somewhere will do big company stuff" seems weird.

Dibbit3

With the lack of guard rails? There’s probably a protocol to “always hook up, don’t be a dummy! It can happen to you!”

Dibbit3

I am looking forward to seeing the Saotome's anything-goes final attack again. It's a thing of beauty.

Dibbit3

Stop bullying the fire chicken!

She went from absolute menace with a heavy charge, to a maggot feed through and general feet warmer.

I remember the times when it meant something if you managed to capture one.

Now it's a "ooh... I guess a magic fighter with a secondary that's useless is ok... I guess"

Dibbit3

Nope, they released 2 things: For everyone, regardless of if you buy expansion 4: A halloween set for toads, making them witches, with hat and flying broomstick. (Haven’t checked if it’s limited to toads, likely not)

And for people who bought expansion 4: a new hero, a lighting orb weapon, a cool mount that transforms and has a water form, society trait that works well with water, and all the clothes the new hero comes with for use with custom heroes.

Dibbit3

Just an fyi: this new stuff will release in november when the DLC hits. We only got a little mini-update right now with some small items and changes, kind of as a appetiser to make you buy the bundle. Still cool , though. (They did similar things with the other seasons)

Dibbit3

I sometimes wonder what my new recruits think when joining lategame:

“Ok, maggots, you’re now a guardian! Here’s your magic sword, the humming is because it drinks the blood of your enemies. It’s also been enchanted to never miss, and keep it out of water because it’s both on fire and fires of lightning bolts. The edge is coated with anti-magic that eats the enhancements of the enemy.”

“Also, here’s a pair of catears and a tail, so be sure to say ‘mew’ if you want to run really fast.”
