Should biotech brands be using AI to generate website content? (self.BiotechMarketing)

make sure your pages are indexed correctly

Marie Haynes recently said in her newsletter that she believes GEO is a distraction. What’s your opinion on this?
Many say the future is agentic, do you think websites will eventually become a sort of publicity accessible API for agents?
Are the days of visually appealing web design numbered?

Google Ads and Meta Ads work pretty differently. With Google Search, you're primarily targeting search intent through keywords rather than relying on audience targeting like you would with Meta.
One thing I'd definitely emphasize is that CPC and CPA benchmarks won't necessarily be the same between Google and Meta. You're reaching people at different stages of the buying process, so I'd focus more on qualified lead cost and customer acquisition cost than just comparing CPCs between platforms.
As for budget, I generally recommend my clients starting around $50–$80 per day per country, although that really depends on the industry, competition, and average CPC. I'd use Google's Keyword Planner to estimate costs before committing to a budget.
For a brand-new campaign, I often start with Maximize Clicks and set a maximum CPC bid limit to help control costs while gathering initial data. You might be tempted to jump straight into Maximize Conversions since leads are ultimately the goal, but I'd first make sure conversion tracking is properly configured, and then only switch bid strategies once you've had at least 20-30 conversions in a 30 day period.
Google will try and get you to use PMAX, or automate your campaigns, but I would recommend you learn the platform before giving control and your budget to Google's algorithm.
If your clients are roofers, set a geo targeted campaign for their service area for keywords in phrase match like "roof repair near me" "roof repair in city name" things like that - definitely do your keyword research so you don't burn budgets too fast.
If you've never even been on the platform, I would probably recommend doing some YouTube trainings at least so that you're familiar with things like negative keywords, campaigns vs ad groups, search terms, bidding strategies. Google does offer free courses too.
Good luck!

I wouldn’t say a scam, but probably not worth the money
Digi-Dave
Definitely. LLMs don’t maintain a traditional index like Google or Bing - so making sure your domain is indexed on traditional channels is still very important
Digi-Dave
I agree with what others have already mentioned - referral traffic from any LLM has no impact on your ranking.
Digi-Dave
Definitely look for an agency that specializes in your niche - this will help ensure whoever works on your ads understands your industry.
Digi-Dave
Totally agree. The sales call approach is a really good move. Funny enough, we actually did a sales call crawl on our own agency just a few weeks ago, and we’re already using the questions, pain points, and language we pulled from those conversations to help guide our content.
Here’s another tip: put this regex into your google search console and it’ll show you queries with 7 or more words!
Regex: ^(?:\S+\s+){6,}\S+$

Have a link?

I think they’re referring to this https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/preferred-sources

Offline conversion uploads is the answer. Depending on the CRM you’re using, you can integrate pretty easily! Just go to create a conversion in the goals menu, then select offline conversion action, and you can connect your crm it’ll walk you through it. My agency uses HubSpot, so we use lifecycle stage = customer and upload the deal value.

Good SEO is good GEO
Digi-Dave
Well, you gotta have SOME tool or reporting method.. but the strategy thereafter really depends on your goal - which is probably leads, right?
Digi-Dave
It’s my understanding that meta descriptions aren’t a ranking factor - they’re more for CTRs?
Digi-Dave
Oh my gosh , what a cute pup - I'd name him Sugar Bear
Digi-Dave
I’m not recommending PMAX campaigns in this post.
Digi-Dave
We’re on the same page. Bidding on your company name is a mistake I often see biotech brands make.
Digi-Dave
YouTube .. tons of videos will teach you, and show you strategies. The best thing you can do is watch them all, see what overlaps - these are your core principles that you want to master
Digi-Dave
Never listen to Google reps. Ever

You built a website to talk about a pre-existing website? I think that alone is what made a difference. An LLMs file doesn’t actually work.
What tool did you use to measure your Ai score
