Let the shoes dry out daily by not wearing them every day. Overnight may not be enough. Two pairs of shoes or more to rotate through is necessary to deal with this. You can also get cedar shoe trees for pretty cheap and put those in the shoes at the end of the day to help dry and freshen up the shoes. Keep the shoes somewhere that’s gets some airflow so in a closet might be a bad idea. Keep them out where fans or ac is moving some air.

As far as foot care, if there is a bit of dead skin/callouses, a pumice stone can do wonders to get rid of dead foot skin and provide less for bacteria to feed on. Antibacterial/fungal foot care lotions like tea tree oil, shea butter, coconut oil creams can further reduce bacteria and smells and inhibit bacterial growth.

It’s glass so most glass cleaners should be fine. A bit of dawn soap and water followed by just clean water to white it all off is what I recommend. If you use glass cleaner, overspray on your dash might put alcohol or ammonia on plastic so I would wipe that down with a wet towel afterwards and apply whatever plastic interior protection you use on there.

Clean the inside with a bit of soap and water. Then clean it with just water afterwards and dry it all off. That inside film can be greasy and needs a few rounds of cleaning and wipe downs to get the class clear and haze free.

You could also check the machining inside the upper where the bolt is at to see if there is any horrendously bad finish. Like a poorly grinded step/shelf of metal that the bolt could hang up on.
