I don't know that anyone is obligated to follow their ex if they pack up and move, but being proud that you only see your kids once a year is really sad. I don't like it when logistics (they goto bed before I get home sometimes) has it where I go a day or 2 not seeing one of the little ones.

Reading the Wikipedia on him sounds like all has been doing lately is bouncing between dui and domestic violence arrests and as recently as Feb 2026 was sentenced to what looks like around 3 years in jail.
Dude has 8 kids..

I started thinking maybe it was one of the boys from home improvement. JTT was made into a little dreamboat then vanished. The eldest I think is in prison or was and don't know about the youngest.

The problem is that the difference between Amzn and nearly everywhere else is so huge.
At this point I get bummed when Amazon is going to take 2 days. Lots of stuff Im getting before I wake up the next morning or later that day.
So in many cases Amazon gets things to me faster than I could even buy them locally because stores aren't open. Order at 8pm it's on my doorstep at 7am.
Other vendors either ship things by literal horse and buggy or they want 60 dollars to ship something 3 day.
Say what you will about the rest of the org but they've got shopping logistics mastered.

You can afford it and aren't going to ruin your financial future if you buy it.
BUT - cars are never a good idea by the numbers. Math always works out that you are better off hitchhiking.
Given your high savings rate and fair amount of discretionary spending., Id say start an automatic transfer and save up to pay cash. Not because the loan interest will kill you but because I think it makes it easier to assess "do you really want it". If you save up another 30k and are sitting there with 35k in cash in one hand and an out stretched hand of a car dealer in the other you might find you'd rather spend the money else where given the sacrifice yoi made to save it.
As a side note -- You can rent a lot of hours on a lot of fun cars that cost way more than 35k with 10k of cash. What I'm saying is go rent a Porsche/Lambo for 800 dollars a day for a weekend get away a couple times a year and still have money in your pocket when it's all done.

That's actually the opposite of what I said. I'm saying that regardless what you have between your legs or regardless of what gender you may be now are in the future it's important to understand how everyone's body works.
My point about transgender issues is that while that's a valid reason to attend both classes in all honesty that's going to impact a very small number of students compared to the huge majority that will end up likely in a relationship with someone of the opposite gender.
Heck even if you end up and the small group of people facing any gender issues chances are you still me being a relationship with someone that has different anatomy than you.
DirtyWriterDPP
No dig on any body with gender considerations but the far broader serving reason is that the vast majority of people are going to end up cis gendered and in a hetero relationship, so it will be hugely important to understand how everyone works.

Just remember that many men would love to be whores.mainy because men generally have no concept being concerned about having sex when you don't want it. It'a just something that is totally off our radar.
All I'm really saying you won't really offend them using it as an insult. Only sure fire way you can offend most men is to call into question their manhood..

I agree with all of that. I think all I was really trying to say was that the statement was never added in good faith to begin with.

So does modern style free-floating handguard on nearly every AR platform count as a barrel shroud?
I'm not certain but I'm sure that's the most lethal part of mine. Makes the bullets coming out of it extra destruction esp compared to the ones coming out of my bolt action 308 despite having nearly twice the muzzle energy.
I'm all for restricting who can have guns but bans on certain parts and configurations just seems so silly. There needs to be a demonstratable impact to the danger that part or configuration adds to the situation.
I also can't tell you how many bad guys keep getting away with mass murder because they used a flash hider.

He put that in there probably because he either found it in advice as a way to seem more genuine or real to women or because what he really means is "I don't want someone clingy and really I mainly just want you to be fine with me ignoring you for hours, days, weeks while I do whatever the fuck I want without you.

Learned it in probably like 1991 in small town (pop~5k) Texas. 3rd or 4th grade I think.
Part of it is that schools these days totally de-emphasise everything except reading and math. My daughter is super bright but didn't 100% know the difference between a city and a state or where the difference states are. And I don't mean all of them. Florida California and Texas were a mystery for her and we live in Texas. This is at supposedly one of the best schools in one of the best districts in the states. We bought map placemats and started teaching her at home.
I swear I was coloring some kind map of states of countries like every other week 3rd grade thru 10th grade. So much that we called them "map pencils " not just colored pencils.

Id always heard that because turbo chargers capture their energy from the exhaust gas, it fundamentally changes the type of sound coming from the engine.

I'm curious if you've tried reaching out to any former clients and ask them how you could win back their business? I don't mean that as a suggestion I'm actually curious.
Maybe asking them to see some of the work they used AI for and trying to show how you could improve it.
Perhaps trying to offer them a hybrid approach where either you or them could use AI to rapidly generate broad concepts but then you refine those with your expertise? The idea being that you can charge them less because it takes you less time but they still get the human eye that the computer doesn't have and likely neither does their employee who told AI to ”make them a flyer for their summer concert series” or whatever.
Sadly I worry that we live in the age of good enough, we've seen it for a long time with the "enshitification" of consumer products I guess now we are seeing it with professional services as well.
Long story short, sell your "eye for design" not your ”i can draw good". Im a software engineer and my wife is a lawyer and really that's what we've always sold, not the leg work of getting the deliverable generated.

Money and the infinite shapes and sizes humans come in.
Most clothing is fit to a generic smallish form or model and then just computer scaled up from there. That's why unless you are shaped like that idealized form the fit is often poor.
Fitting clothes to how women are actually shaped takes time and skill. That costs lot of money. And then to build machinery to make it costs even more.
Then if you are asking for premium materials and construction and quality control that's even more.
That makes it hard to sell a top for 8 dollars at the mall. And since so much of the market is desperate to pay as little as possible that's what gets made.
Then you have this huge price gulf between mass market clothing and then the high end stuff that actually is better made. So the cheap version of a basic top is 8 dollars and the well made one is $250. A big part of that 250 is a premium for the brand name as well. (This doesn't mean $$$ means better. LVs famous bags aren't even leather it's plastic coated canvas.)

Engine exhaust sounds played thru the stereo because modern engine and exhaust design makes the actual engine sound more anemic than a sporty car should sound..
DirtyWriterDPP
I agree with some of your points even all of that is better than we've got at the moment. If the choice is between a moldy sandwich and a poo burger I'll take the moldy sandwich.
DirtyWriterDPP
I think you are assuming that the 80 dollars is no big deal for this family. It's quite a lot of money for many families.
Imagine if a child went around tossed 40 bucks down the drain a few times a month. That's not cool. Both sides have room to learn and build the relationship but don't act like there aren't real world costs to this issue.

Sometimes kids also just like the play with the soap.

Anyone who still claims to be independent at this point is possibly the dumbest of them all. They obviously aren't full throttle on the agenda yet after something like 10 years of this nonsense still hasn't seen enough evidence to solidify their vote.... It's like someone not convinced that the sun comes up every morning because they just can't be sure...
DirtyWriterDPP
I doubt that will change more than a couple dozen votes. People are just too entrenched to suddenly be swayed by more details about that. Anyone who cares is already convinced what they did was totally BS.
DirtyWriterDPP
What is in it that you think might impact how people vote? Im totally ignorant here, not trying to make any kind of value statement.

Define wealthy. There's a big range between a married couple each earning 150k and granpa stuck oil 90 years ago money.
I realize this isn't the real point here, but aren't those compatible desires? She wants him to make her laugh, he wants to make her laugh. (I suppose he wants to make her laugh because making women laugh elicits a positive response from the woman).
If this had been "I want him to help with the laundry, and he said 'I want her to feel like I help with the laundry'" wouldn't that be a good thing ?
Not trying to argue or disagree just I think men are simple creatures that want women to like them but have no real idea about what that means.
