Wake up, babe, new A Modest Proposal just dropped.

Docholphal1

Congratulations, according to this subreddit, you're a genocidal maniac with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Docholphal1

It is a "mobility" issue. And since mobility = flexibility + strength, it could be either.

OP, if you can do a full ROM at 100kg but start getting limited beyond that, it's because you aren't strong enough at the bottom of the ROM to go beyond that. You need to sit at 100kg for a little longer and re-progress up from there if you don't specifically want to do 90-degree leg presses for whatever reason. Stretches won't hurt either. If you would rather do full ROM, but you are limiting it in order to lift more weight, that is ego lifting by definition.

Rack pull

Docholphal1

Less weight. Your quads are weak, so your body wants you to treat it like a deadlift, shifting the load to your posterior chain. This happens a little bit for a lot of people when squatting at high intensity, but not to this extent. This is very excessive and is a way to circumvent a weakness rather than shift load to a strength under intense load.

Drop the weight to something your quads can manage and incorporate leg extensions and leg presses with your feet placed low on the plate into your programming.

Hali putting up a career game in the closeout in Indy while the crowd chants "Underrated" would be pure cinema. Also, Coog Jarace Walker on the roster, though he doesn't play much yet.

Docholphal1

Great group of teams this year. I like the Knicks - how can you not love Josh Hart putting up 42+ minutes games every night? Tyrese has made the entire country Pacers fans. These Cavs are cool. The Warriors frankly would be a really cool last ride story if they hadn't Evil Empired themselves so hard bringing in KD at the height of their dynasty. You can't hate Jokic going out there and dragging his boys over the finish line every night. And the Thunder and Celtics have dynasty potential.

Obviously I hate the Warriors, the Celtics feel boring, and the Thunder are probably going to be the next Evil Empire. Anyone else, I couldn't be too mad at taking it this year. I think pragmatically your thoughts on the Thunder might be correct, but ultimately, we need to figure out what we want to do this offseason anyway.

All of this, but also, the one thing you must believe above all others to be a Rockets fan is that we would have won it all in 2018 if not for CP3's hamstring.

I know it's one game, but 6/1/0 and 4 fouls in 21 minutes in the biggest game of his life is a rough performance to look past.

imo, shooting, shooting, shooting.

Adam Silver, in his hubris to make the Spurs a good franchise again, would succeed only in making the NBA unwatchable, putting Wemby, Flagg, Castle, and Fox on the same team.

Docholphal1

I honestly don't know how we have a great team in the same city with the same exact identity, and the Rockets aren't just throwing 2nd rounders and late 1st rounders at UH draftees. Should have been Shead in last year's draft instead of trading for a guy who found Jesus and never played basketball again.

Docholphal1

Re-signing discussions always depend on the cost. Don't say you wouldn't find a spot on your roster for Adams on a minimum. Obviously, he's probably not a $20M player, but at $10M or $8M, you might like to keep the double big lineup in your back pocket going forward.

Docholphal1

The Rockets played boring basketball this playoffs. We're supposed to be an exciting young squad, but we look asleep. Hand the ball to Sengun and pray Amen bails him out when he loses the handle. That was our only play tonight. Team needs serious offensive work

I'm tired of Houston getting a rap as a bad sports town. It's a busy city that doesn't have time for shitty, boring entertainment. Pick it up, or you just won't get support. Fuck you.

Docholphal1

Exactly. If it's a foul, it's a foul, but he jumped into Tari clear as day. I thought the NBA stopped calling that in 2018.

Docholphal1

Houston fans are debating whether or not we would ever give either Sengun or Amen for Giannis, lmao.

Docholphal1

Well yeah, that would be an absolutely insane hypothetical trade, too!

Docholphal1

Anyone make a wild 3 team trade to send Giannis to Detroit, Ausar to Houston, and picks/prospects to Milwaukee? We must unite the brothers.

Docholphal1

I don't think the Bucks move Giannis for any package not including at least 1 of Amen and Sengun, but I also didn't think the Mavs would trade Luka... I could see all 3 of them coexisting in a P&R offense, because Giannis likes to handle the ball, Sengun likes to roll, and Amen is great in the dunker spot. Bari probably goes in the trade in this scenario, but moving him to SF and having Amen at PG would give us maybe the biggest team ever made. Just need another shooter at SG so the other team can't just put 4 people in the paint like we've seen against GS.

Yes, I've basically just said if we could get Giannis for free, we'd be a much better team, incredible analysis, I know. But a man can dream.

Docholphal1

People are reacting emotionally because it's the Warriors again. I imagine getting bounced in 4 by the TWolves wouldn't feel as bad as losing in 7 competitive games to GSW.

We should have made the play-in last year and been a solid 4-6 seed this year. That would give us a clear line of progression for us to expand on. Instead, we became the first .500 team ever to miss the play-in and immediately shot up to the 2-seed. The fact is we got paired up against probably the true 2-seed after the Jimmy trade, and we are a solid, young, athletic team with a highly exploitable offense. We got our hopes up.

A first round exit this year doesn't put us behind. I don't think it's time to ship the farm for Devin Booker - especially if the asking price is more than Jalen + their 3 picks. 37yo rental KD doesn't solve our problems. We have to trust that the front office has the information and skills they need to make the right moves that will take us from a playoff team to a contender, and our pressure isn't going to help them do that. It will just make them act irrationally.

Docholphal1

The NBA has investigated the NBA and found the NBA committed no wrongdoing.

Docholphal1

I would write both sentences as you did.

Docholphal1

A major difference between young millennials/zoomers and older generations that really gets the older generations up in arms is often a massive favoring of authenticity and a hatred of pretending. There is also a very developed sense of these things. We can generally tell when someone is pretending to be something they're not.

McAfee is loved by younger audiences not just because he does the frat boy thing and he's loud and impulsive and they like that. They like him because he goes out there with his boys and is himself. There is no sense that he is censoring himself or acting straight-laced or kiss-assy. He's loud, he's irreverent, he's not going to sit there in a three-piece suit and profusely apologize for saying "Fuck" on TV. That is a virtue in today's media environment, and he is being rewarded for it.

Docholphal1

Purely correct grammar here would be "is gotten," or "is made ready." Tolkien obviously knows that this would be the correct way to write it, but he is using "is got" to tell us something about the speaker: perhaps a lack of education or fondness for colloquialisms.

Docholphal1

Millennials are destroying the Boomer ball-and-chain marriage humor industry.
