Good luck getting those resources, and protecting the supply lines to those resources back to the homeland. Americans like to make fun of Canada's military, but those who know, know. Our elite forces(JTF2) is top tier and trains Americans. Our Rangers would be able to operate with impunity, sniping, sabotaging, and harassing American forces. We'd deny them those resources every step of the way. Think about it. We're talking about 25% of America's "domestic oil" gone - this alone would cripple them. Hydro in the NE? gone. Fertilizer to feed their nation? Gone.

And we haven't even touched on the insurrection in the US homeland committed by Canadian infiltrators and American partisans.
