I would hope by now you understand that, no offense, you're a terrible stock picker. Stop picking stocks, you clearly aren't cut out for it. Neither am I, and that's why I buy boring things like index funds.
If you don't stop gambling, no other advice that you get will matter.

Similarly, in the real millionaire houses (say, your Mosmans or Dover Heights types) often have much better security for one, but often their real wealth isn't in things like cash that are easy to take. It's very hard to do a home invasion to get someone to liquidate their stock portfolio or whatever. Most of these houses in Greenacre or Campsie or whatever probably have more in them worth stealing (ie can be taken and immediately sold, or just straight up cash) than the average house in Mosman, and it's a far easier score.

I'm sure all 15 people who play golf in Sydney will be devastated
Doctor__Bones
Not entirely sure what you're expecting, you almost seem disappointed this really isn't a big deal.

This is exactly my point. Why is it my job to have a elaborate garden I can't even use properly because it's difficult to enclose and not private? So other people can look at it as they walk by?
Doctor__Bones
Being honest, why would you ever actually want a front garden? For the benefit of people walking by? I prefer a large private backyard which informed what house I ended up buying.

I am a union delegate in my own industry (medicine is different to most but the point stands, I love unions) and the guy you're replying to is right.
When we do an action, withholding labour or doing a work to rule or something, essentially what we're saying to the bosses is "if you don't want us to withold labour, you can't do that". It's a negotiating tool.
You can't be fired for unionising in most countries (I am Australian, which does have relatively better union protections than most) but if the business takes its ball and goes home unionisation doesn't help protect against that. An example where an industrial action (which doesn't have to include strikes! A lot of our actions are WTR or go-slows and they often work just as well) would prevent a firing is basically when a business wants to remain open, but get rid of somebody. If the bosses response is just to close the whole shop there isn't much that can be done about that.

I see the sentiment and it's reasonable but two things: firstly if a landlord and/or wants to live in their own property, and like it or not it is theirs, I think that's more than fair enough. If you make tenants literally unremovable then the housing supply in Sydney will crater even harder (Melbourne's taxes and subsequent decimation of rental stock is a good warning of what happens when renting becomes even just mildly less profitable)
The second is that unless you have someone properly scouring a re-rent period it's difficult to prove someone's actually moved into a property. I could collect my mail there for a few months and legally "live there", do a Reno in the meantime and flip back onto the market 2 months later. What's your proposed mechanism to prevent that?
Doctor__Bones
We get it mate, you're too clever to care about things.
I'm sure your mates in high school are very impressed.
Doctor__Bones
That's entirely understandable, but thanks for replying!
I ended up working out that for my purposes (sport) it wasn't going to be a significant cost delta getting IPTV over just paying for access for the sport I wanted, and objectively much easier. I have a setup already for other media via kodi addons so it ended up not being something I needed to do.

I recognise this is a super old thread, but if I DM'd you could I ask you what provider you are generally happy with (I'd also be fine with a list which obfsucates the one you personally use)
There's so many scammers and bots it's nice to see an actual human giving answers to this stuff.
