This Reddit group is quite pleasant. Thanks for your hard work.

It is capitalism that produced AI, so there is that dichotomy.

This explanation isn’t very different than for software engineers.

Software engineers want to create code. At my company we must use an AI toolset of agents to write code and tests.

Our job as software engineers has fundamentally changed. Most software engineers do not like to review other people’s code but that’s what we do. We review the tests to make sure they are good tests with good coverage. We then focus on the code. With AI in software engineering that’s the job.

When AI creates a product feature design or architecture document, I prompt it to write as if the audience are first year college students, which can help readability. I then spend my time reviewing and editing the final product for readability and correctness.

I am 10x more productive with AI in my work. I enjoy my work less but I’m embracing the change because I like my paycheck.

Compared to before AI, my job is in turbo mode. I am so busy that without AI I would be cooked. That said, I have minimal concerns of losing my job to AI. My company still needs humans judgement.

Plot twist: all companies will need human judgement with more expected from you because of AI productivity increases. My productivity has absolutely increased. It’s tiring in a different way.

So yeah, if you are sitting on a cushy job, say good bye to that work mode, not because you will be replaced by AI but because more output is demanded as a result of AI.

Quite frankly, more human judgement is expected. Poor output happens faster with AI without human review and validation.

In the software engineering industry, companies are churning out features that are bug ridden precisely for this reason.

Well, like I said, no one offered me crap. Most people I know ended up on a corner, in jail, or whatever growing up.

Many opportunities come down to choices people won’t or refuse to consider, I.e. how flexible one is to find opportunities.

I joined the Navy, which paid for my degree and opened up many opportunities for me. First person in all of my extended family to make it to college.

My wife found her myself pregnant at 19. She worked her ass off to make it into advertising as a low level employee, to eventually becoming a product designer. She never attended college. Also grew up poor, poorer than me.

My son refused to look for programming jobs as a new grad that were in other cities and / or in-office. It’s fine, it’s his choice. He had odd jobs and then he found a good opportunity through a friend. He’s now working / learning to weld. He picked his path and he likes it.

I don’t know your circumstances but I wish you the best in life.

When there’s control to be had, a wedge issue for votes, etc., the political forces ignite.

I know plenty of people on the left and right who are hoping that AI can help us accelerate economic growth. We need it to grow faster than our federal deficit.

Traditionally, that is how we have kept entitlement and benefits like social security afloat. More economic growth means more tax collections.

Killing AI or severely hampering progress would be devastating. (We can have both progress and safety)

This comic leaves out an important point making her far from unexceptional: . Lia Thomas won an NCAA women’s championship — specifically the 500‑yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships.

Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lia\_Thomas

Anyone who wins any sport in Division I collegiate sports has achieved something incredible, especially a sport as competitive as swimming in the U.S.

This achievement and also staying near the top of her sport out of the hundreds of D1 swimmers in any given year is what drove the controversy, which this comic is quite deceptive about.

You are delusional. You say B.S. when I literally post facts and then you proceed to make up an evil republican fantasy. Look in the mirror for B.S.

You understand that ultra communities are not data centers? There’s no law planned or in the works. You are literally full of shit.

Doogie90

You’re a dumbass wants to watch men beat up on women. It’s sick.

Doogie90

You really need to try looking outside of downtown Miami.....

This gentleman is a hero and thank goodness he took action. I hope he heals back to 100%. It is frustrating to see police nearby hiding behind cars doing nothing while this man took action. Other video shows police fleeing. They are trained and paid to protect and serve. No better than the cops at Uvalde , TX school shooting.

Agree it’s a total approach, not just probiotics. I added much more fiber and also greatly cut back on alcohol consumption. (Was maybe a few drinks a week to one or two a month at most). Also greatly cut back on sugar.

My knees hurt just watching these cute little guys

I think it also depends on protein sources. Whey protein is a pretty generic source of protein. It is also not cheap. Compared to processed meats, whey does not bring in a lot of extra calories or salt.

Track your total health and your “numbers.”

I think sugars (and salt / high sodium) are by far the most dangerous foods to consume.

In my gym there are 80 plus year olds still working out to some degree. I can only hope to make it to that point!

I thought HODL came from Game of Thrones, “Hoder” as in Hold the door to winning

I’ve mostly been ignoring World Coin so I decided to do some research. Found this link: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/investing/cryptocurrency/what-is-worldcoin/

They lost me at “digital ID”….

I don't understand the downvotes. This is a fact. Going mainstream must mean actually going mainstream.

Nailed it!!!!!!

Succinctly nailed it. Fitness first leads to more energy and clarity for your mind.

Not that it concerns me, I’m a Ledger device user, but Ledger has committed to open sourcing their software. https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/9579368109597-Ledger-Recover-FAQs?docs=true
