I always repeat the item in order even if it interrupts their flow because some customers go too fast. for example-

Customer “hi I need a venti iced triple shot oat milk 5 pump van-“

Me- “Ok I got that Venti iced with 3 shots and which milk?”

Then it changes from them word vomiting to answering my questions. It helps me process and my bar baristas to hear exactly what they’ll need to make. I’ll also just keep talking if I can’t find it to keep them from zooming past me like “alright you want to add strawberry cold foam, let’s see here, ah there it is, alright I got the strawberry cf on, is there another modification?” Works most of the time unless they’re rude and breaks it down easier

If you absolutely have to use it, I’ve found adding some 2% into the foamer makes it foam, not the heavy cream just from experimenting edit: (experimenting bc we also had a watery batch of HC a couple months ago)

Have you tried using Siri to call a contact? If Siri is voice activated you can ask it to call mom/dad and you might have some more luck there
