The problem is that you kinda need one of them to claim your soul after death. If you don't want to be brick and mortar for eternity. So praying to one deity a lot more than the others is probably your best option
DreadfulLight
You guys do know he semi regularly murder rooms full of mobsters right? Obviously he just grabbed a couple bags of cash after none was left to argue about it
DreadfulLight
Nice she's actually wearing appropriate gear for raiding tombs
DreadfulLight
It was almost balanced. But then you had to add Wanda.
DreadfulLight
Obviously fighting mark. If you can't beat him just surrender. The rest will tear you apart
DreadfulLight
These are good man
DreadfulLight
To be fair. Red hood got beaten to death, ressurected and is dealing with a lot of trauma from that. So he already is/was punished for that
DreadfulLight
Mosby definitely does have retired wizard who is used to being the only int 20 person in the room.
Did the inn burn down in a skirmish with the bbegs forces?
DreadfulLight
It's a back and forth.
Sometimes they hate each other.
Spidey being a mutate and not a mutant.
(Powers from scientific accident vs pure born genetics)
Sometimes creates problems in the relationship.
As well as Spideys insistence to being mostly morally good.
And the X-men. While I like most of them a lot. Are Sometimes really morally bankrupt. Looking especially hard at you Beast.
DreadfulLight
To be fair to our lovable goof.
The spiders had NEVER been aggressive towards HIM before. Because the patriarch spider told them not to.
I'm more interested to know if there was a giant spider colony before hagrid let him escape into the woods. It didn't seem like it.
But then how did the male giant spider make more giant spiders?
DreadfulLight
It's the guardians of OA.
They are SUPER racists.
These are the same guys who put in a mental barrier and changed the Martians DNA. ALL the martians.
And MADE an entire race of sentient robots. Called them MANCATCHERS. Then discarded them when they were too sentient
DreadfulLight
Blue Beetle doesn't run out of power. And it's hardwired to make you survive.
Lantern ring needs to recharge eventually.
Mjolnir is an excellent offensive weapon. But I am sure as shit not worthy.
Hulk buster. Even assuming we get the arc reactor to power it. This armor is super energy heavy and Iron Man ALWAYS runs out of suit power so my inexperienced ass definitely would as well
DreadfulLight
Nice
DreadfulLight
Yes. But because spideys web is so strong the thing in her won't move. And then MOVE her to a HOSPITAL
DreadfulLight
Just web up the injury no?
DreadfulLight
I love Cap. But 300? Next to SENTRY? And Ghost Rider? That is Cap.
DreadfulLight
The worst part is that she is actually a really powerful seer. She had the vision they all fight for in the ministry.
It's just that you can't replicate visions at will. It kinda just happens.
But teaching a subject in which 'i dunno things just fucking happen when in this state of mind' is not very academic.
DreadfulLight
It's a good movie guys.
This is why we can't have nice things.
The costumes are good by Hollywood standards. They are at least TRYING here.
They went with the gods as more of an ethereal metaphorical presence. Which admittedly was an odd choice for a story that normally has actual dialogue with several deities.
And yes Athena was kinda meh. Zendaya did what she could in my opinion but wasn't given much to work with.
But it's a GOOD MOVIE guys. If you wanted historical accuracy, go to a reenactment or watch a historical documentary.
The point was the tale of the Odyssey not what they were wearing
DreadfulLight
Nope.
DreadfulLight
She literally has already gone to the trouble of making a garment that drains willpower till you become a puppet that can't say no.
That's not being on the fence. That's a lot of work.
A lot of very specific i am sewing this robe myself and weaving in enchantments that will murder who my daughter is as a person so I can take over her body.
Her having a change of heart seems less likely than the Archdemon accidentally dying by doing a tango.
DreadfulLight
What's the level here?
Because I could suggest an elder brain or an Elder Brain dragon.
But if they are like lv 3 that's just death
DreadfulLight
- Ac 20 is honestly where it should have always been at the very least. If not higher.
I've never not seen it run without a robe of the archmage and buffed dex. But fair that's still only roughly 18 on 2014 edition.
Fear is a useless spell at level 20. Unless you have one character with shit saves or there's no paladin.
I'll occasionally use it because maybe this time I'll work. It's always saved. Maybe that's just my luck :)
Auto paralysis is super nice. But why are you attacking in melee for FIFTEEN points of damage? Might as well tickle the barbarian or druid.
Fireball and Lightning ball is both dex. Fire is one of the easiest to get resistance to via spells or in general.
My point was you had a lot more versatility than meh non Counterspell damage. Or aoe Fireball spell or straight line spell.
And Liches DOES NOT have resistance to their own spells or fire or lightning resistance. So you gotta be careful you don't Fireball yourself. That's just an embarrassing way to die for any mage ;)
- It's overall better than 2014. But that's like saying a bullet to the dome is less worse than a mortar. They both suck. Majorly.
It's by no means IMPRESSIVE for a CR 21 creature that's supposed to be your END boss of an entire campaign.
It still feels like a lieutenant to the big bad.
Compare them both to the same CR devil Hutijin from Mordenkainen Presents the multiverse.
He almost has MORE spell casting than BOTH of these Liches.
Yes I know he only has 200 hp. Wildly criticized. But everything has less hp in 2014 compared to 2024.
They upped the PCs so they had to drag the monsters with.
Still. Yes it's a crime he has 200 hp when he's supposed to be a melee/ frontline commander type.
DreadfulLight
Fair. The 2024 lich seems way more tanky. But frankly a lot weaker in damage output.
It's got a teleport that can maybe not be Counterspelled?
But it does so little damage. 31x3 that's 90 damage. Against a lv. 20 party? That's meh.
And it lost its most powerful lair ability unless I'm not seeing it. Every other round the 2014 lich can regain 1d8 of spellslots for a lair action.
It can cast things ONCE A DAY. Which is horrendous.
With the old lich. You could literally spam disintegrate like it was going out of style or circle of death. Or insert spell that isn't 9th level here.
Now you get 1. ONE.
And yes the trade off is that you do an attack that can't be Counterspelled which feels like a copout.
And they made it a quarter of a tank. (That paladin now needs 2 rounds instead of 1) but it's still a horrendous idea to melee.
You should STILL play it as a commander.
315 vs 135 seems like a huge improvement. And I guess it sorta is. But it's like putting a door in a doorframe instead of the screen door there was before. And then expecting it to surive a direct hit from an actual tankshell.
I ran a high level game yesterday and they pretty much all did 100 points of damage a turn. And that was 2014. Not the buffed 2024 versions.
DreadfulLight
Because that is the correct way to pronounce it and he knows that.
Me next please
