To those on here hung about "not seeing" any structural damage to the concrete because of the moss, at this point our eyeballs aren't as good as tech at finding structural damage, and I doubt moss would much impede all of the tech ways of "seeing" damage.

When I had to deal with a lot of snakes living in Virginia, I had a short piece of narrow plastic pipe that I turned into a snake lasso. I bent a cheap electric guitar cable in half and pushed the bend through the pipe so a loop stuck out the other end. Get the loop around the snake, pull back on the cable, and congratulations you're a snake wrangler.

I'm an old outsider who has lived here as long as I've lived anywhere else. This is the fairest place I've ever lived in. In the Northeast everyone wants to know where you fall on the pecking order. In the South they're judging you in ways you've never imagined and it's all because of a sick culture they cling onto. Here people give you the benefit of the doubt, along with enough rope if you want to go hang yourself. That attitude suits me just fine.

I talked to an Armenian man who said he and his wife were discussing, in English, some things they were considering purchasing, while each of them were also on their phones, but not looking at the items they were discussing. Their phones started showing them adds for the items they were discussing. They switched to speaking Armenian, and the ads switched to Armenian. And that was a few years ago.

Maybe it's a good thing that Spanberger has so completely and blatantly and immediately betrayed her voters. Progressive challengers can point to that and say "that's what the establishment Democrats do" while progressives that get elected (like Mamdani) are keeping their word. Compare and contrast is very persuasive.

It's worse. For-profit health care is an abomination. We can't get treatment without paying our healthcare overlords, and you never really know how much your treatment will cost until weeks or months after you received it, and you almost always pay more than you were led to expect, and the therapies that are recommended are only the ones that our healthcare overlords can make a nice profit on, and if you don't get better tough shit for you.

Now we need AI to screen out all the crap we don't want. How backwards is that?
