Still counts as a loss for Michigan and I'm happy enough with that.

I'd give it an "everyone's got their own preferences" out of 10.
Recommendations based on specifc shows:
- Ranma -> Urusei Yatsura
- Ramparts of Ice -> You and I Are Polar Opposites
- My Stepmom's Daughter is My Ex -> Days with My Stepsister

It's closer to baseball than regulation, each team gets a possession without a clock (like a half-inning) and starts at the opposing 25 yard line (like a runner on second).

There's a link to the archive in the contest section on the sidebar as well.
In the past there have been other kinds of contests that weren't putting anime/characters/etc. against each other in a bracket, that's why there's a distinction.

There's a spectrum, it's more ecchi than Saikano is at least.

Maybe dragging a spike across the bag?

For me personally, even just in the past five years I'd put summer 2022 below this season. I'm currently enjoying Firefly Wedding, Hello, I am a Witch and my Crush Wants me to Make a Love Potion!, and The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom without even getting into continuing things and sequels.
Everyone has different preferences though, sorry you're not finding much to like this time around.

- This doesn't appear to be about anime per our definition.

Off the top of my head for that specifically, I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class and maybe Masamune-kun's Revenge?
More generally most school romance light novel adaptations from the past five years fit that kind of quality.

That latter group is fun because they watch what I'd generally call a 5/10 and proclaim it's the worst anime ever, while for me it's probably not even the worst thing that season much less reaching the level of some terrible OVAs of old (and not even the popular punching bags like Mars of Destruction or Skelter Heaven).
On the other hand they're also commonly people that think Attack on Titan is the greatest anime ever because it's one of the first three anime they watched and can't enjoy a single other thing because they're always comparing them.

Thanks, that fits with what I thought but just wasn't certain.
That makes ERA a weird stat to me then since it's not entirely dependent on what happens while the pitcher's on the field but will be influenced by what happens after they're replaced too. I guess it's more of a "well if you don't want to have your ERA go up then don't let anyone on base" thing, not sure if there's a stat that takes the followup reliever's performance into account separately.

If a pitcher leaves the game after putting a runner on base and the reliever lets them score (without any errors involved), that counts as an earned run against the first pitcher, right? Does that also count for the reliever, or do they not have any earned runs against them until a batter that they faced scores?
I'm trying to think of how something like bases loaded -> pitching change -> triple would work in that regard.
