You're still GRINDING every season. How is that fun? This isn't supposed to be a full time job. It's supposed to be a video game. Everything should be unlockable at any point in the game (not season locked), and when you're done grinding, there should be no more attributes/badges to be unlocked.
How is 2K arcade edition on the app store a better game than this?
DustToStars
Someone else said that and that's ridiculous. Ignoring the fact that it's still grinding every season (unlike previous games where there was an actual end to the grind), they now want us playing other game modes that some of us don't even enjoy? I'm dead ass never buying this shit again 😂
DustToStars
What if you don't want to play MyTeam? So I'm supposed to play a game mode I don't enjoy to level up another game mode? On what planet does that make any sense? The amount of grinding people have normalized is crazy. In 2K16, you built your character and got all your badges within 25 hours, and you were done for the year. Now they want us grinding for 75 -100 hours (and now in game modes we don't even wanna play apparently) - by which point you're so bored of the game that you don't even want to play the thing you bought the game for: online.
DustToStars
I really wished I did that. I'm out $200 and feel compelled to play because that's the price of like two triple A games. I'm 100% bowing out next year
DustToStars
Just give up. This game is filth. You can be a lockdown with 20+ defensive badges and people will dunk on your dome or hit contested threes with your hand in their face all game.

The Ayaneo 3 is still my go-to. HX 370 + 144hz OLED + Oculink to dock to an eGPU + magic modules for some games with no controller support

Money isn't really my concern at the moment; it's the amount of grinding I have an issue with. I pay for 200k VC every year to make the beginning of the game more enjoyable. You can't pay your way through playing the game for 20+ hours every season to stay competitive four to five seasons down the road, when people have eight extra badges and six cap breakers more than you. That's like the difference between prime T-Mac and prime KD - a crazy disadvantage.
There is no end in sight to the grind like there used to be. You used to just have to get your player to 99 overall, get all the badges you had available to you, and you were done - free to hop in and out of the game all year without ever needing to grind again to remain competitive. That's not a thing anymore.

Just requested a refund on Steam. I'm well over the 2 hour limit. Fingers crossed 🤞

An online competitive game shouldn't be putting you at a disadvantage because you don't want to end up on the streets to keep up with the meta.
I get you can still play the game and get some wins for now - but wait till season 6+ where people have 6 seasons of rewards on top of you. It's not gonna be fun.
DustToStars
That's my thing. I've been playing Park since 2K16. I was easily able to max out my builds with all the badges and stay competitive playing at most 5 hours a week. And you didn't have to grind all season. You could put down the game for a few weeks and come back to it with your boys and you'd be just as competitive as you were before you left. Now they expect you to be homeless to stay competitive? Who is making these decisions? It can't possibly be increasing sales or even retention with how much of a boring grind fest it is.
DustToStars
That's the problem though. They reward grinding so much that playing online - which is the only thing I enjoy - is painfully unbalanced. I really wish I didn't buy the 200k VC with the base game. Sunken cost fallacy hitting me hard 😅

The R36H pro max also has those beautiful stacked shoulder buttons and an ergonomic bump akin to the Retroid and Ayn devices. Easily the most premium feeling variant in the Game Console lineup

R36H Pro Max. It can run the ArkOS fork by AeolusUX—which gives it perfect compatibility with PortMaster games built for the R36S (Simpsons Hit & Run, GTA San Andreas, Zelda: Twilight Princess, etc.)—while giving you a bigger screen than the R36S and R36H, plus built-in Wi-Fi.The R50S has significantly worse portmaster compatibility.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 1! Amazing game and it'll fit your budget

PC Handheld if you want to play PC games. ARM and its x86 translation layers just aren't there yet. Even the AAA games that do run do so very poorly (720p low settings) thanks to the translation layer overhead.

It sounds like you don't really want to be sitting at your PC after work. The thing that is the most worth it is the thing you actually get the most use out of. There's no point in being able to mod a game out the ass and run it at ultra + RT settings if you never actually play it.
I'd go with the Ally in your specific situation (it's a situation many people find themselves in these days - and is why people love PC handhelds to begin with).

If your Bazzite still has Handheld Daemon, definitely do not update until they figure out the Gamepad UI and InputPlumber mess

Just to reiterate how much of a gem this dev is, I requested a TDP boost to 35w to match Windows, and the dev implemented the change in less than 3 hours!

Nope, the Z2E outperforms the Z1E in most scenarios. The Z1E only pulls ahead in games that heavily rely on multithreading due to the Z2E only having 3 Zen 5 cores, along with 5 5c cores which are more compact with lower clock speeds and less available cache. The Z1E has 8 full Zen 4 cores.
For an example, games with a busy open world environment, like Cyberpunk 2077, may perform slightly better on the Z1E.

If/when the time comes, Anatase runs beautifully and is built by the dev who worked on HHD on Bazzite!

Steam Cloud Saves and no device limit is so convenient. Play on your PC, switch over your PC handheld, then run it via PC emulation on your phone/Android handheld - continuing the game on all three seamlessly 🤯

Having a high refresh rate display, even if the application doesn't actually reach anywhere near it's limit, still reduces input latency. It makes the experience feel smoother even at lower FPS
DustToStars
I don't know if they ever had it on desktop builds, but it's gone on their deck/handheld builds too. It's great for some who have perfect integration, but very annoying for people with newer/niche devices.

Windows is just so cumbersome. You have to update in 3-4 seperate applications, you have Microsoft defender doing typical defender nonsense, so much to debloat, unnecessary overhead, horrible sleep/hibernate functionality, etc. Linux for handhelds is a must for me. So glad this works as well as it does.

Yup everything works beautifully here. Make sure you switch to the rolling build after you install it if you want the same TDP limits as Windows
