We stopped in a few months ago after driving past it all our lives. Everything smelled like a backed-up toilet. To be fair, that just might have been South Carolina I was smelling.

I kept waiting for the copyright infringement notice to pop up from those jerks at Disney. Very cool!

Well everybody seems to be very sure that they're the seal for some type of container. And it's a beach. Maybe check local beach shops to see if they're selling sunscreen that uses something like this?

I didn't realize it was closed. That's a shame. I volunteered there when I was a kid.

I expect to hear the Law and Order sound when the elevator opens and you see the victim.

$800 total for a vehicle is a lot. Talk with USAA and see if they don't have a better offer because that seems excessive. Also, $500/month for a car payment is a lot for a $5k monthly income. Can you trade in for a cheaper vehicle?

Andy's is pretty good.

Yeah and I didn't mean to shit on your hometown, I'm sorry. But we have done all of the same things you are talking about. Same result. If this was just me I would suspect I am the problem. But my wife is a nice person, a loyal friend, and pretty awesome. If she can't make a friend the problem isn't her.

I got several tickets when I first moved here as well. It was very frustrating. I began sticking to the speed limits that are posted on every street in every part of the entire metro area. The problem seemed to resolve itself at that point.

Every interaction here feels like a job interview. After 14 years we are planning to leave. My wife is very extroverted and has dozens of friends all of the US. People she has known for decades and who she regularly travels with or talks to daily. Yet in MoCo she hasn't ever found a person that was interested in any sort of real friendship. Its been painful to watch.

When I was a high schooler in the area a friend's dad took us to see it because he worked there. He was so very proud, and I see why. I mean for the time this was a huge improvement over the bus/shuttles.

Just build out your own. Notion/Obsidian are both so middleware-ish. https://github.com/geographerj/l4-template

Retirement and relocation planning. Its ability to sift large amounts of data and use python for math is better than any specialized software I have ever tried. I keep a cloudflare based worker database so I can use any LLM to access it via custom MCP. Great results. My retirement account alone is blowing away previous years of earning as the diversification strategy is recommended is far better than anything I ever tried to do myself.

I can smell this room.

I was on the fence but now I do want to see that movie.

"I usually end up going to girls’ houses instead of inviting them to mine." - baller LOL
Color and a plant or two. Are you going for something warmer? You have a wide window ledge where 1-2 plants would fit nicely and soften the room and a lamp or two would offer more lighting choices. 1-2 larger wall pieces (movie/game/music posters or art) behind the bed? IDK what are you into? Do that.
And legos are awesome, but I get it.

LOL no he wasn't citing the race of characters written by a dead white Englishman 90 years ago as a reason to keep only hiring white people to play the characters today? Next they will justify only hiring men to play women's roles in Shakespeare "because that is how they did it at the Globe theater!"

Just here for the red hat check. All good.

It sounds like you are beating yourself up a lot. Don't do that, bankruptcy isn't the end of the world but better than homelessness or debt that cripples your ability to ever recover. I have found nerdwallet to be a decent resource

Best bet is to talk directly to your creditors and see what they can do. But you can vette credit counseling companies a bit via federal or state level regulators, who often publish lists of legitimate firms.
https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/credit-counseling-joint-federal-agency-resources
Also, remember anything you tell your creditors can be used to collect a debt. So be very careful sharing contact info, bank info, or other stuff they can use to come after you. If it comes to it you should be able to contact your State Bar Association for a list of local bankruptcy lawyers that can walk you through the process.
Also, to be clear, I am not a lawyer, not a financial adviser, not anything really except somebody that used to stress about this stuff a lot and helped navigate a friend through bankruptcy.

You're probably going to want to be very careful about being downtown. Not only are we expecting an extraordinarily hot period of weather, the 250 year thing means that a lot of stuff is happening. Annapolis should be both cooler and much less hassle BUT you would need to rent a car.

I don't know if you're going to get high if you're just smoking on paper lol (that's usually an idiom for practicing something)
If you're talking about normal writing paper, typing paper, or lined paper, it's full of a lot of chemicals and stuff that they use for the ink or to make it bond, right? My guess is you probably don't want to be inhaling that stuff.
